And Amazon. They are highering 100K more people to deal with the volume. Pay is $17 an hour until April, not sure if that is only for people that already worked there or for the new ones too.
Any job where you can work from home.

My industry is fukked :mjlol:

clubs laying off staff, I ask why? Aint gotta pay em anyway... then it hit me, some clubs dont plan to reopen after this mess

To build a buzz for a nightclub takes months/years unless you spending insane money every weekend on talent to bring awareness. Couple that with $10-50,000+ rent a month in SF, some saying its best to just walk away

And for the bigger clubs or festivals, rescheduling artists will be near impossible this year because of conflicting obligations etc

Plus side is, once this quarantine is over everyone will rush to go to the nearest club or bar. So that first week or 2 should be real good

They are laying off staff so staff can access unemployment benefits, dummy. Stop being a drama queen.

They could already file for unemployment dumbass, without being laid off, dumbass.

unemployment during a crisis doesnt have to mean fired. Can get assistance when a job is unavailable to pay you - such as this

https://www.edd.ca.gov/unemployment/disaster_unemployment_assistance.htm

You stay talking about shyt you have no clue about

plus SBA through federal funding for this particular crisis , up to $2 million on 2% interest rate for small businesses to pay for staff in Bay Area is already in effect to pay for staffing

you one them fake intellectuals on here, pretend to know it all but really be wrong about almost everything
