Ghost said Barry White wouldn't clear the sample for him...guess he was a Nas fan.....never heard the original till years after Stillmatic bein as tho when i copped mine back then it only read "Every ghetto" as the bonus track...the Alchemist version is my favorite...Nas spazzin wit no hook for two minutes just doesn't get any better...

Always preferred DOOM's remix to all of them. Beat went harder.

I have to go with the original version. I hate the fact that when samples can't get cleared and artist remix the songs to release on the album. to me, the original always sounds better and its a big loss for the album. Just think how many of his other songs are really alternate versions because the sample from the original never cleared or cleared too late.

i like the open drum sequences in the lost tapes version

you can tell he recorded the verse to that

his voice comes in stronger when the guitar drops out

i prefer the stillmatic version because of the ad libs at the beginning and end of the track (to all the big dreamers...) , the lost taps one is cool, but i'm not found of obvious samples


i like both versions of america

i like the original versions of disciple and project windows more than the albums versions





and the original fetus is more raw and the bubbles sound effects creates of better immersion in the concept of the song
