For background, Hillary got run-up on by a BLM activist the other day at a private function with a bunch of rich cac donors at an antebellum mansion, and was confronted about the whole "super-predator . . . bring them to heel" thing, and she didn't handle it too gracefully

The twitter ethering that ensued was one for the ages, brehs. #WhichHillary topped the trending list yesterday and was allegedly removed from the list by Twitter execs today in advance of a Hillary fundraiser to be attended by the Twitter CEO.

Her flip on healthcare is being mischaracterized as selling out to big interest. It's actually a bit more sinister. Her managed care plan in the 90s, which she passes off as a universal health care program, actually plays into the hands of private interests.

The reason she doesn't believe in single-payer in 2016 is because she got her ass handed to her behind the scenes and in the public while fighting for health care. It almost wrecked Bill's presidency because he promised to have a plan ready and available in the first 100 days of his presidency and wasn't able to deliver until about a year and a half into it.

When she uses the line "you don't get to choose what issues come to your desk" she's remarking on her experiences and Bill's experiences. The budget fight with Republicans, where Bill capitulated on many issues, kept forcing the task force to reschedule and refine it's proposal.

She also saw the fight that went on trying to get the ACA into Congress. It's simply not a fight she's willing to have because it's not a fight she thinks is worth the trouble.

While I might agree that it's gonna be an extremely draining fight, I disagree with her characterization of the issues. Expanding Obama's policies within the construct of the ACA is going to be a draining political fight as well. In fact many of the expansions won't be possible without executive action. Shutting down the argument for single payer in such a dismissive way, effectively shuts down public support for any action because nobody knows anything about these improvements she intends to make. How can democrats rally behind/show public support for expansions that are not easily identifiable on a national level. All they know is "Obama would want it."

Explain to me the end-game policy differences between a Clinton and a Republican. :jbhmm:

Bill passed welfare reform, NAFTA, the crime bill (I'm mad at Bernie for this too), basically all the things that Reagan and Bush 1 couldn't achieve. And Hillary was there cheerleading and working behind the scenes in a way that was unprecedented for a First Lady.

bait is some fake bs to reel you in. there is nothing fake about these things we are talkinga bout hill dog. again you dont hear me talking about emails. do you? nope. many of us are not bringing that up making a big thing about that. thats some repub talking point nonsense. unless they actually do find something WAY out of the ordinary.

We're talking about who she REALLY is, vs who she SAYS she is. Especially there's an alternative choice. like a real one. you are one of those people that would never want a 3rd party candidate to be a real legit candidate. because you like the status quo. you like having 2 horrible choices to choose to vote for prez. the rest of us Dont. and i wont tell you bernie(a white man) is the best thing going. but he sure is 10 times better than Clinton. now as bad as hill is she's still 20 times better than trump and any other repub. but thats not the point. the point is. its time to cut all this BS out. EFF these corporate politicians. its time for the people to get what they voted for. Vote for someone who is not in their pockets.

They don't know. They are just so scared of Republicans (even though they survived Bush II and maybe Bush I and Reagan depending on how old they are), their politics boils down to being anti-Republican and not pro-anything. Theirs is a politics of fear, not of hope, transformation, or action. The politics of cowards.
