Would black Americans have the rights we have today without white allies?

I mean, we had to fight and demand those things for a long time. It’s not like white people suddenly decided to have some humanity. As technology advanced, and they were being broadcast across the world beating the hell out of us for trying to vote, it made them look bad. That is where political correctness came from. It became unpopular to say and do those things, so they had to stop.

of course they were hunted down. but they never stopped running and they never stopped fighting, and the revolts happening in the caribbean during this time had whites increasingly uneasy over here.

you gotta remember, these weren't conventional wars against opposing armies; this was "personal property" worth hundreds of thousands running off, work stopping on plantations (interruption of commerce), and resources having to be diverted to militias, etc.

commerce was interrupted, and this was all about commerce.

so the people revolting did influence legislation.

if we revolted today would we win? probably not. not in our current state. but if we stayed at it long enough and created enough of a disturbance to the economic machine of this country then i guarantee whites would make some concessions in the form of legislation.

There were whites that marched with us during civil rights and fought for us. There were whites that supported BLM

Are you saying we should rally with white extremists to eliminate the group of whites perpetuating white supremacy...?

1.The fighting you are referring to was before the civil war right? How are you attributing civil rights gained after the civil war to revolts that happened before the civil war?

2. How many blacks lives do you think need to be sacrificed in a current day "revolt" before legislation is changed?

Some people truly do get it. Ultimately it's irrelevant because few will step up to fight for you if you're not willing to do for yourself, no matter how well-intentioned they may be.
