Don’t under and that as a role player, but I do understand it as a leader on the team, but then you likely have both.

Also I don’t believe role players on championship teams are better remembered then superstars without rings

Derek Fisher is going to be remembered more than Rashard Lewis or Keith Van Horn who made Max Money.

Facts. Some players may have the skills to be All-NBA, but they are all financially reckless and incompetent. :mjlol:

Rings mean something, something set in stone.

Also of course it’s all situational, it’s not black or white.

Like if you made 100ms and have a lot of success or 300 and no success. Or if you were a benchwarmer who made minimum and got one participation ring and played the rest of your life in Lithuania.

If you are a person who doesn’t live like a Saudi prince, where 300 or 100 wouldn’t change how you live. I get that too.

So it all depends. Like you said there’s Derek Fishers and there’s Gianellis. There’s Charles Barkleys and Hardens and Van Horns

What sounds better in retirement when being introduced/referred to as Former Champion/Winner or just as a Former Player?

It doesnt matter what roster spot you was or how many mins or points you did or didnt average. Once your career is long gone and casuals/people of no knowledge of your former endeavours. They ask what did you do? and say 'I was a NBA player' one of the following up questions will be about winning. Did you win?

Yep.

Made a good chunk of money and seems to have financial intelligence.

After a certain point, you're just making money to make money.
