ad-libbed that line and was like ”I bet that line gon kill the previews this summa bawse” when the director said cut.
But yeah I saw this shyt for free last thursday and I cringed at how cliche jamie's character was and that voice he used was the action scenes were piff but if a movie is gonna be dumb, then I would at least want it to be dumb like tropic thunder or expendables or even the other guys. But this was dumb like sci fy with a big budget. It was worse than anything I can remember seeing recently.

I saw it. It was decent. I didn't mind spending 9 dollars and sitting in one of the nicest theaters around till after midnight. Problem these days is most movies are just a rehash of a idea from before. I didn't see "Olympus".

It looked like a parody. I seen in the trailer where the president said some shyt about his jordans .

That was the biggest problem with the promotion for the film: They didn't establish the tone of the film in any of the trailers. I wasn't sure if it was a full on comedy buddy flick (21 Jumpstreet) or a straight action with some humor (Die Hard) or a balance of both (Bad Boys).

What was Jamie fox doing, he went from Django to this. His hair looks all messed up like its a wig, and his acting is terrible. He can't play that type of character.

I think he shot White House Down before he did Django if I'm not mistaken...

Jamie's a good actor but he usually follows up VERY STRONG dramatic performances with HORRIBLE comedy/action flicks. Remember when Ray and Stealth came out in the same year? It was like two different actors.....

I just came back from it. I would give it a 3 out of 5. there are shots taken at the American Military Complex. I didn't mind it though its clear some people did. Jamie Foxx seemed to act stoic and fall just short of being presidential. Channing tatum did not establish himself as a very good lead but he wasn't as annoying as Gerald Butler. the villians in this movie were way better but its clear that Emmerich was doing too much trying to keep the action going. Its clear that with better casting this could have been a better movie and it doesn't bode well for the Independence Day sequels if Emmerich is not going to pay for quality talent

like i said earlier it is about equal with Olympus has Fallen, both suffered from bad casting.

Rotten Tomatoes reviewed this on par with Olympus. this is rated slightly higher with slightly less reviews.

Took my kids to see it last night and it was unrealistic and corny but clean and entertaining for them..I never have any expectations for PG13 films because most of them suck just off gp... The action delivered though..

The theatre was 90% black folks so I can see this film has the stamp of approval...

Jaimee Foxx does songs with Jeezy and has been rocking Trayvon Martin t shirts in public for the past year.. Middle Amurikkka ain't trying to see that shyt...

No not "every" black man can portray a slave with relative ease. That's undermining the Heart, Determination, Charm, and charisma that Jamie brought to that character. Django was MORE than just a "slave", he was a MAN dedicating himself to the cause of freeing his captured wife. He played that character.

Also he was great as Boudini in ALI, Willie Beamen in Any Given Sunday, and Curtis Taylor in Dreamgirls. he's more than just an impressionist
