Trying to pin the failure on Will's son, nice. First of all no he didn't, second, any push for Jaden is obviously Will's doing.

It cost 185 mil

Its also a far shyttier movie than either Olympus has Fallen or White House Down.

Will lost the second he agreed to star in a movie by M Night

A Mississippi Cotton Field
but it had Jamie Foxx who's still red hot portraying The President,

Had him talking about his Jordans in the preview,

had him shooting guns

and had a witty use of slang in the title in the word "Down" as a way to connect with black people!

Besides a popular rapper or Tyler Perry being in it, aren't all of these things what black people want in a movie?

Why didn't the Black Community support it!?

I don't unnerstand, brehs! Someone explain it to me!

:what:

Its a military/combat term. I sure hope this wasn't an intentional double entendre as you seem to believe...

It probably deserved too, I didn't see it...but it looked unwatchable, bad acting, bad script, cliched and tired action sequences and a plot seemingly lifted from big budget, bloated, mid late 90's movies, whose stories were compelling to me only as a child, that line about Jordans was embarrassing on many levels. I'd suspect it flopped because of it's genre confusion, if they were going for comedy, the trailer isn't funny enough, action....doesn't have enough edge in the trailer to sell todays action movie fan, nor the 'cool' appeal of a 'Fast Furious'.

Bah. You couldn't pay me to watch this shyt. I would rather watch those str8 to DVD thrillers about teens getting killed after having sex in the middle of the woods again.

It wasn't bad...Jamie Foxx and Channing Tatum had nice chemistry but it also wasn't anything that I would recommend people leave their houses to go see. It is a Netflix watch basically.
