Boomers and silent gen arent really to blame. Silent gen were the greatest generation bar non and they did their best. The only thing I can blame baby boomers is their stance on academia. Baby boomers gave us Bell Hooks, michelle wallace, and that entire group whose entire goal was to create a framework where black women assimilate into America at the detriment of black men. One of the results of this is intersectionality. So, for the past 20 years or so, academia has more or less given up on black cohesion and instead focused more on "how can we better assimilate black women and black LGBTQ". Outside of that baby boomers did their best. The problem is gen X and older millenials. These two groups allowed all this online shyt to get out of control and put their heads in the sand.

Trust me, I know and I got a lot of mental prep for my kids as they wade into the Internet and games.
