Nope.
The first people to exploit the culture and then reduce it to it's most profitable compotents were black folk. Fast forward to present day, people don't even really understand what Hip Hop is.
There is the culture and then there is the genre/industry created around it (rap game)...if you conflate them and look at the rap game and go "Hip Hop is dead" you are a huge part of the problem.
It's to the point where even on a forum centered around Hip Hop culture you got a bulk of the participants here that deem anything besides making rap music "White boy shyt" and irrelevant. From breakdancing, visual arts and even battle rap...if it ain't making money or getting you some kinda clout it don't count and is left for white people to prop up and patronize..all while screaming "Hip Hop is dead".
White folks cashed in and cashed out yeah, but
you played yourselves. May all the fair weather rap fans move on and leave the culture for people who want to build, not just sell and buy.
