Some of these same black people upset about being mocked with the word woke. Will be quick to call black men with knowledge of self "dusty"/"hoteps".

So on one hand its funny to see these assimilateds upset about being mocked with the word woke:mjlol:. But on the other hand I hate the word was highjacked by the left to promote Babylon LGBT rhetoric. But also by the right to mock everthing considered liberal ie women/blacks/gays.

Part of me thinks black liberals like the OP hate it so much, because they feel when they are called "woke", they are being grouped with the "hoteps". And to them that is considered an insult or a slur:respect:

ironically "woke" used to be used CYNICALLY. Even black people who were using it were mocking people being TOO awake.

it was like 51% (nah for real keep your head on a swivel) and 49% (lets not be TOO serious in looking for a conspiracy everywhere).

it was awareness about being aware about being aware :wow:

Yall outsiders ain't get it :wow:

I never heard of this woman until I came on TLR.

TLR says she's an anti-black male blavity black mainstream media Shea butter journalist.

This of course means she's someone with a actual legitimate career in academia, activism, and journalism, and someone I could get into.

And here she is engaging with a racist white woman, engaging with a real newsworthy topic that is having a very real impact on the future black peoples rights and freedom of speech in this country right now, and rmthen revealing her guest's and all these "anti-woke" conservatives's complete and transparent ignorance on a talking point she wants to push on the American public.

Meanwhile TLR internet heroes are being agreeable with white supremacists "oN sOmE tHiNgs", bigging up these "anti-woke" politicians as protecting us from Democrats conflating black people with gay rights, writing cac-adjacent hate speech about Africans, and just being all around agents.

Thanks for posting this. Always nice to separate the "new black media" right wing gawkers TLR loves from the real ones doing the real work against white supremacy in America.
her FIRST mainstream look was writing against identity politics which is why black people stopped fukking with her. Plus she admitted she downplayed black issues to support Bernie Sanders.

RARELY you'll see her have to be reminded she's black and that she has to stop being used as a pawn by the "anti-woke left and/or right"

Y’all give them all this credibility when they change shyt around.

Partly why I dont all the way trust translations of certain things

Also: how you gonna say being woke is progressive when part of being woke involves knowing Black men are being feminized. If you are not black and don’t bring up “wearing the dress”, credibility revoked.:camby:

If you never been in a Black barbershop or Black hair salon you don’t know what woke is

Notions like "wokeness" is part of a conspiracy to "feminize men" and mind control people into gender transitions is exactly the type of distortions these white power bozos want to put out there in order to ban black literature.

I almost have to give it to these conservatives. They know they can fool the Black power militants and white/latino/religious men with insecurities about lost Masculinity and sexuality. They know they can fool white and black feminists with fear mongering over children and schools and "groomers" and "indoctrination." They can fool everyone into believing that there is some pervasive force behind "wokeness" that is undermining them personally.

And in the end it ain't nothing but a bunch of rich suit and tie Fox News white motherfukkers looking for billionaire tax cuts and deregulation themselves pulling the strings. Convincing people all around that equality and social justice causes are inherently dysfunctional and morally unrighteous.

Your probably right,I didnt realize how assimilated/genetically modified black people had become back then. I never assumed most black people wouldnt be genuine when discussing awareness and knowledge of self. I humbly stand corrected:respect:

I feel like you’re not following me. But I agree with you said. I’m just saying that to be considered woke you had to be against the feminization agenda, not for it, if you believe in it

Let me give another example. Being “woke” can involve knowing Democrats were the bad guys back then, but it can also be knowing that the civil war was based more on sectionalism than parties, because Southern Whigs and Southern Democrats were holding Congress hostage. There’s usually a discourse involved trying to understand the correct context of information. The nuance of being “woke” is really non partisan. It’s not siding with progressives or conservatives. I meant to say usually when you’re having “woke” discourse in the black community there is discourse over the dress and wearing the dress in this community is not considered woke. It means you got caught in the White power structure as a pawn if you’re doing it for upward mobility. Whereas these conservatives think wokeness is pushing for dresses. If you’re a black man you hear the dress shyt sometime in your life so when you hear these crazies talk about wokeness wants men in dresses you think” :dahell: ?”
If Hasan Piker was a Black man some of the community would be like “:lupe::patrice::mjpls:”because they would think “he took the oath”.

I read current affairs and was involved in the grassroots Sanders campaign irl and online; Brianna took numerous Ls on a consistent basis, she was a laughingstock to anyone who wasn't white or middle-aged and this is coming from someone who defended her a lot in the past.

I'm legit curious, how are yall relating it to black people? I've never once thought that "woke" had anything to do with us, specifically. I don't relate it to us in any way. Isn't "woke" just being aware of the nonsense we are all lied to about by the "higher-ups", pretty much? That encompasses people from literally every culture

Breh nah...it was exclusively black slang for my whole childhood (late 80s/90s kid) until tik tok and Twitter posers caught on to it, and then white conservatives turned it into their new all-emcompassing southern strategy buzzword to rally white people against liberals in general.

It didn't have to be said that it's about black consciousness. We only used it to each other. Kind of in the same context as telling someone "stay black." "Stay woke."
