This is ignorant nonsense.

Black feminists started an entire new field of "womanism" to explicitly separate themselves from white feminism. In fact, off the top of my head I can't think of an academic field where the Black members did as much to separate themselves from the white members as in feminism.

"Womanist theory, while diverse, holds at its core that mainstream feminism is a movement led by white women to serve white women's goals and can often be indifferent to, or even in opposition to, the needs of Black women. Feminism does not inherently render white women non-racist, while womanism places anti-racism at its core."

This is not very relevant today, womanism isn't visible at all.

All my academic time was in the 1990s and early 2000s, and it was definitely prevalent then. I was seeing womanists quoted even in fields that weren't directly related to gender or race at all, like theology. Even if the term is used less now, what evidence is there that Black feminists are kissing white women's asses and claiming that they were never culpable in slave-owning?

They were her property is an excellent book and some of the stuff white women did to prove they should be obeyed just as much as white men was horrifying
