This was a pleasant surprise:ehh:
Everybody, even the ones suspected of c00nery themselves, banded together to get at OP. We will have a great year if this becomes the norm here and in real life

Be honest tho. Someone like Adele wouldn't have made it back in the 80s

Iono, the 80s were full of british artists , some of them even tried sounding black and had success (simply red)
But really what's the point of that statement, white artists in 2015 are appropriating music and stealing sells from light skin AND dark skin black artist right now
This ain't even kelly rowland era anyway. Her first solo came out in 2002 before that even started

I don't doubt that being dark had some effect, i'm just saying beyonce being way better had WAY more of an effect. Those other light skin girls who were in destiny child are where right now? :usure:
ultimately if kelly would have been the talented one she would have blown up.
Another example is Coco getting a solo career while the two light skin jawns from SWV got :camby:
I'ma force yall nikkas to use LOGIC today :myman:

You take some of the best black singers of the past decade or so like Jazmine Sullivan, Fantasia, Jennifer Hudson, and especially Jill Scott. Why haven't they reached anywhere close to the heights of Adele when they obviously have more talent? Jill Scott is a larger women with a certified classic album under her belt
