Probably is Glenn.

Rick is the central figure of the show. He dies the series is over.

This episode was about tearing down his confidence and arrogance. There's no point in doing all of that and then immediately killing him.

Negan clearly wants them to work for him and the only way he accomplishes that is getting Rick to submit to his power....in front of his people.

i think this is where people are wrong

its like Ned getting it in Game of Thrones - Rick is a main character but the series doesn't die when he does. And I would question whether it would be made better without the confines of appeasing to the Rick story.
Again Rick's character development is literally past his post of maturation, where else can he go except deeper (Neegan/Governor) or back to the light (Morgan)...the latter being nigh near impossible.

I said this earlier. that's most likely exactly what it is. they wanna see the fan reaction and decide later. but they should have already made this decision a long time ago and revealed it last night. fans all over are going nuts about this shyt...especially the comic readers. this is some cheap ass shyt for a major show to do. at this point nobody will be satisfied unless it's glenn....i'm guessing the next season will just start with maggie and her baby....and her in mourning. but if it's glenn, the impact of his death is already ruined. it's crazy how badly they fukked this up.


how hard would it have been....negan says "and you are...it".....then they reveal it to be glenn. negan says his little speech then knocks his head off. they show glenn's headless body then zoom over to maggie's face screaming uncontrollably....her screaming echo's out and the screen goes black. that woulda been perfect to me.

would have been real easy...now you're going to be waiting 5 months trying to find out who died. Pages and pages of threads, tweets, articles, etc etc.

Then 1st day of next season you open with it and rinse and repeat. So basically, they just created tension for at least 2 episodes instead of 1.

agreed, but he did include him in the meenie minnie mo game ...what happens if it landed on Rick? Is he going to do a do over or do the extended version and keep going? lol

i'm not even sure he was going in order....but if he was he pointed to maggie when he said "and you Are"......that would put rick or abe as the next and last one in line

Im not continuing this conversation. Rick is the show. That's not even up for a debate. He's not dying like that.

This was such a shytty episode in general and even worse when you take into account it was the season finale.
There was so much bullshyt filler that just ate up time and could have been cut. There was no reason for the extended run time because it didn't give us anything worth a damn.
I am a huge Jeffrey Dean Morgan fan too yet that intro scene and his overlong monologue was just as horrible in live-action as the intro of Negan in the comic was.
And choosing to go out on a cliffhanger was such a weak ass move and I refuse to believe that it was done for any other reason than the people running this show being scared shytless of the backlash they would get if they killed any of the fan favorites. I would bet my house they haven't decided on who is actually getting the bat to the dome and will spend the entire hiatus waffling before they have Rosita end up being the one who gets killed since she isn't as popular as everyone else in the cast.
And Carol's nonsense is just horrible.

Lol this is true though. Really it was an episode of them just turning around in the RV for no pay off at the end cause they couldn't decide who to kill off. I gave them credit at first for having the balls to do it but the talking dead after it seems like they just didn't know who to kill off yet

Two roadblocks was pushing it but 4 was just ridiculous and then having them roaming through the woods carrying Maggie's half dead ass on a stretcher was just stupid.
And Rick's reaction to it was just off. I understand we were supposed to see Rick's hubris turn around and slap him in the face but to have him become an indecisive scared ass ho 20 minutes in just because of a couple roadblocks was some bullshyt. This same man didn't crumble when The Governor rolled up to they prison with a fully functioning tank and chopped Herschel's head off right in front of him but a couple roadblocks makes him shyt himself? Because Rick was a useless, self-doubting mess before Negan even showed up.
Every decision that was made in this episode was just awful.

that was the worst part of the episode to me. they completely turned rick into a straight bytch. they've been in similar situations before and rick stayed strong. how can the crew even look at him the same anymore with the way he was acting?....even when negan asked who the leader was rick kept his head down shaking like a p*ssy......normally rick wouldn't have hesitated to step up. it makes no sense. what was the point of making rick look like such a bytch here?....dude was literally SHAKING in his boots......these show runners are just terrible all the way around

I completely forgot that she was the only doctor too...how the hell you let the only medical professional you have go roaming out in a dangerous zombie and evil human filled world?
