We went through 10 years of trash coaches after Mike Woodson left, I don't want to go on another coach carousel for who knows how many years, trying to find another one. In I think coaches are made to be the scapegoats way too easily in today's NBA; it's basically free bail for trash exec's and players at this point. So with that said, I'm content with Thibs.
In today’s ring culture NBA and social media generation where you have fans who think they know more basketball than professional coaches this is what you get.

Popovich had been fired in 2002 and his lone ring up to that point would be called a “lockout ring against an 8th seed”. He’d not get the opportunity to lay down Spurs culture and win in 2003, 2005, 2007, and 2014 and be considered a G.O.A.T. coach. shyt between 2007 and 2014 that was a lengthy gap with many years not reaching the Finals and their core aging yet they stuck together.

Heat could have fired Spo in 2011 they lost and Bron wanted actual Riley coaching.

i dont care what anyone says, we shoulda won that series
Yeah, everyone putting a positive spin on what happened here, it’s all bullshyt. The Knicks had home court advantage vs the 8th seed missing their second leading scorer. They had a tailor made path to get to the ECF and the straight blew it. This is a bitter defeat.

Don't think this team needs to fire thibs

They just need a offensive coordinator like how nick nurse was to Dwayne Casey to the raptors

This team has no consistent offense

They sort of did it when he got here but those guys were all developmental coaches too. I doubt they bring someone in for offense even though Thibs got his career doing it for defense.

Nah a lot of people thought at best the knicks could attain the 6th seed and be a first round exit. Jalen Brunson was seen as a solid guard but now looks like an emerging superstar. Season was way more than most were hoping for. Make some moves in the off season and if there is an opportunity for a trade at deadlinee we have assets for it.

FACTS.

Let's be honest, ask the Knicks PLAYERS had to do was play 80% of their regular production and the Knicks are in the ECF.

Jalen Brunson was already established tbh. This isn’t his first rodeo being a star on the big stages. He maybe took it up a notch by necessity this year but I think you’re framing this with rosy tinted glasses a bit. We should have beaten Miami…just like we should’ve beaten the Hawks. We didn’t because our main guys (whole team bar one) decided not to show up and our coach made zero adjustments.

everyone says we should have beaten the heat but they don’t keep making it to the eastern conference finals off a fluke. They are well coached, with solid vets and just more composed than our team atm. They ain’t knock off the bucks off a fluke. On paper we got more talent but that’s just on paper. They executed and we didn’t. I don’t think jalen was established at all this season just looking at the accolades handed out.
I think he got like one player of the week, no all star appearance and no all nba team. Home boy was snubbed. Nikkas got voted in that he’s better then. With his play in the playoffs hopefully voters take him seriously next season.

We can agree Spo is just a much better coach. That’s half the battle. And their guys stepped up, ours didn’t. What happened in the past has no bearing on this series. We played like absolute dogshyt and still had the game close. Any adjustments or heart from our big money guys puts us over the edge. Miami’s offense and role players did what they needed to. Our offense was non existent and our guys were asleep all series

A really good article from the post for once. I don't know who they could get in a trade like that but let's see what happens. Right now you’re not getting equal value for Randle but things change.

We don't necessarily need equal value, we need what makes the team better. Those can be two different things.

In today’s ring culture NBA and social media generation where you have fans who think they know more basketball than professional coaches this is what you get.

Popovich had been fired in 2002 and his lone ring up to that point would be called a “lockout ring against an 8th seed”. Heat could have fired Spo in 2011 they lost and Bron wanted actual Riley coaching.

Facts, but that's on GMs or owners or whoever is calling the shots though. They don't have to listen to fans or social media.

Miami is just a better team that rises to the occasion. Missing the second leading scorer doesn't matter when role players elevate their game and you outhustle the opposing team. That's the type of team Miami is. We're not. And as Knicks fans we should know better than anyone that some 8th seeds are way better than their seeding indicates.

The Heat are still better.

Miami was actually 7th seed and that doesn’t matter given how tightly contested seeding was in this season (one of the most parity filled years in league history) and the injuries Miami dealt with plus a guy like Jimmy isn’t going all out in the regular season. Miami played us to the wire throughout the regular season.

Herro and Oladipo injuries…sometimes less is more. We could have been targeting Herro on defense. They are the more experienced team, with the better coach, and the best player in the series. They also beat the Bucks and can fukk around and be in the Finals again doubt they have any fear Boston or Philadelphia. They took Boston 7 in the ECF last year.

Giannis missed 65% of the series :what:

Again, this sounds like excuses. All you nikkas were jumping for joy when the Heat bumped the Bucks off. Let's go back into the crates and see who had the Heat winning this series. This was an abject failure.
