Sign and Trade for Porzingis in the deal have them include Beal for Randle, Grimes, D Rose, Fournier and two protected picks. Sorry but Grimes got to go. This Heat/Celtics series show me that if we had a real SG offensive threat the Knicks would be playing Boston now. Averaging 5 points in the playoffs ain't cutting it.

You don't gotta pay a dude $50m to shoot the ball.

Grimes can do it. Year 3 gonna be a good year.

You’re bringing up the reality of paying stars out there prime on Max contracts a ton of money and the team is really young. Knicks avg age is 25 and that number is weighted by Rose and Fournier on the roster. Take them out and the average is 23-24.

KP doesn't post up doesn't rebound doesn't play defense

So...why?
That man looked good on Defense this year. He played at an all-star level, tbh I thought he deserved the nod over Bam, but no one pays attention to Washington really so it wasn't gonna happen.

It's crazy because I was coming in here to say the same, we should sign him. KP is a certified bucket now, he super skilled on offense and would fit like a glove in Thibs offense(if you wanna call it that). I'm not worried about rebounding because our big men coaches had our bigs boxing out like mad men all year. Mitch, Hart, and Simms were all top 5 in box out rate and I don't think that's by chance, you gotta give staff some credit for that and I think they'd do the same for KP.

Realistically speaking, guys like Randle and Brunson are on crazy cost effective contracts, and with the cap changes coming that really matters because teams won't be able to sign or trade for stars without taking the cap into heavy consideration anymore, so there's a strong chance Randle plays his contract out here. So we're gonna have to make changes without causing major upheaval, and KP is probably the best guy we can bring in to improve on the "fringes". We're talking about trading for Towns but he's set to make 50 mil a year and will cost a lot of assets to get, but KP can probably be signed for around 30 mil a year and he's better than Towns. KP also brings the shooting we desperately need to spread the floor for everybody else too. There are injury concerns with KP, but Mitch's salary is low enough (and it's a descending contract, good shyt Rose) were he can stick around as a high end insurance plan on the bench if need be.

I don't care about what happened in the past, I want the Knicks to win and I think KP can make us a threat to come out of the East and I'll stand on that. KP was easily the best player on Washington this year too imo.

I agree with you of KP over towns (56 million a year is crazy) but no way Mitchell Robinson goes to the bench for KP. He will demand (and very loudly) to be traded

I like KP but at the same time this season was literally the first time he's played over 60 games since 2017 when he was still on the Knicks
Do you really wanna gamble on whether that was a fluke or not? I know I don't
As far as Embiid, we'll see what happens. There will be teams with better packages but the Knicks are near the top of the list for destinations now, certainly ahead of places like OKC and Brunson no matter how talented
