not sure if Convict Conditioning was posted in the-coli...i downloaded it and read the entire book...the guy said to be in elite shape one should be able to do 100 one arm push ups straight. he breaks down push ups in 10 steps...step 1 being the easiest, i am at step 5...one arm push ups are step 10...he breaks down strength exercises only using calesthenics...i am glad i was bored today and decided to read it...i love doing push ups, pull ups, dips and now i'm gonna give this shyt a try for 30 days and if my strength goes up, i'll be avoiding weights as much as possible.

Currently reading it myself. Gonna keep at it until I can complete the 10th step of every exercise.

bringing your feet closer together makes it overly :why:

try "zipping up your body". Tense your abdominals and clap your ass cheeks together, at least that makes it easier for me. the more your lower body and core do, the easier it is

They're a lot easier to do than people think. Just spread your legs and arms out so you're balanced at the top of the movement, don't try to do them in regular push-up position.

Raises hand. Here is how I started.

1.Make sure you can bang out regular push ups with ease.

2.Stretch real good.

3.Do a one arm push up. :youngsabo:Na, jk.

4. Spread legs a lil more than shoulder width apart.

5. Stand arms length away from the wall, w/ hand on wall. And do push-up on the wall.
- this is just to get familiar with the motion and balance. I place my hand directly in between my shoulder and pectoral.

6. Then through the course of you work outs move to a lower object.(chair, couch, table, steps etc. Preferable a foot lower as you feel more comfortable. Gradually making it to the floor.

It's important to be strong overall/good form to perform this exercise. I believe you could easily rip muscles/strain or damage body parts. Good luck.

How many of y'all can bridge a ruler or do hand stand push ups?:steviej:

One arm push ups can be done easily if you have a bit of base strength and some balance. A one arm pull up is infinitely more impressive.
