Who cares about Hinkie stepping down. He's already done irreparable damage to the NBA and the 76ers.

To make definitive statements on 19-23 year old players like they don't improve is just stupid. I can't believe people are finished with Okafor after 1 year and are judging him based on this tumultuous situation he was placed in. No rookie player would have positive advanced numbers on this team because it's severely and negatively skewed by the quality of the team. If you can't see that then you're an idiot.

Okafor joined a top 10 defensive team and turned them into one of the worst defensive teams in the league. :usure:

That top 10 defense also had

KJ McDaniels
MCW
Luc Richard Mbah a Moute
JaKarr Sampson

4 of our best defenders replaced with

Isaiah Cannan
Ish Smith
Nik Stauskas
Kendall Marshall

For arguably the worst defensive backcourt in the NBA :francis: But I'll let you cook

The Sixers were 13th in the league defensively last year, they are 25th this year, they got 3 pts per 100 possession worse on defense and 3 pts per 100 possession better on offense. They also replaced some decent defenders with straight up NBDL talent, but focus only on Jah, even though you probably wanted Cousins when there was talk of him being traded to the Lakers, and he's never been on a team that wasn't 20-30 defensively.

Don't forget Jahlil has better rim protection numbers than Randle, but you'll never hear @KOBE say anything negative about him :lolbron:

Tanking has only ever worked once, so that's the silver lining. The league had a duty to its fans and themselves to force change with the 76ers

The Thunder tanked and got 2 superstars and a Finals appearance. The Warriors got three lottery picks in their starting 5, two of them were top ten picks. The Blazers of the late 00s tanked and got Roy; Oden, and Aldridge out of it, injuries derailed their inevitable title run.

y'all are just being obtuse in this thread. I seen some dude a few pages back say that Henry fukking Sims is better than Okafor :wtb:.
Probably that nikka I was arguing with who said Jah is terrible on offense and defense :ehh:

@Malta outside of laker fans no one overrates randle like they do okafor. people go on about his scoring and act he's some premier big man already. :francis:

And bringing up Cousins in a conversation about Okafor, really? :what:

Should we ignore last year completely and focus on his on/off numbers instead? There are plenty of things out there, both statistically and visually, that show Okafor has a horrid big. He can improve, but unless he gets a hell of lot quicker there is only so much he can do to get better.

Just to be clear I don't think there's anything wrong with being Al Jefferson 2.0, but I also don't think he's some kind of cornerstone.

I never said he was :manny: But people are going overboard with this idea that he's a terrible player

The sixers knew what he was gonna do when they hired him and agreed with it. I think what they didn't expect is

A.) the team would be WOAT level in year 3 of the tank(10 wins I mean come on now:russ:)

2. The media/league outrage to this strategy being this bad

But his offense has been bad. If his offense was good, I would say much bad about him.

huh but how breh 17.5pt 7.0rb on 50% from the field as a rookie.

I never had an issue with the 76ers tanking and even I knew that this was basically the last season of the all out tank....They will begin to improve starting this next season and no matter what this team is in a better situation long term than they were prior to the tank.

They can go multiple ways to improve this team and have a nice load of assets....I'd rather be the 76ers than the Nets, Knicks, Kings, Wizards right now.

What a train wreck

Let not forget too that Bryan Colangelo will be their 4th gm in 5 years of ownership... I dont know if I can consider myself a fan of a team with such clueless ownership..... Hope they sell this team shortly for a profit like it has been rumored

don't forget the cavs tanking for lebron... and wiggins (dummies)

the problem with the sixers is they picked the wrong years to tank... wasn't anybody special coming out to be tanking for anyway

now ben simmons is supposed to be that guy... but will he be?

i haven't seen a lebron, since lebron... i'm not even sure we will ever see that type of player again.. a player that can take you from worst to first by his damn self AND draw people to want to play with him
