Who cares about Hinkie stepping down. He's already done irreparable damage to the NBA and the 76ers.

Naw, the Nets got a top 10 center and several solid players. They just a PG and more bench depth away from being decent.

In the nba you're better off being awful then mediocre/decent because of high picks

The nets don't have a pick for the next three years and zero chance to contend at least the sixers have a shot if the picks workout

Caproom is irrelevant because no free agent worth a damn will sign with a team like Philly. Draft picks also mean little cause the draft is pure luck.

Look at Minnesota. They've been in the lottery for nearly a decade straight and it took the last 2 drafts to land them a potential superstar. And one of those superstars was by trading a disgruntled star.

The problem with Philly's strategy was always the fact that it relied on LUCK. Real life ain't NBA 2K. There are no shortcuts to building a contender. Hinkie thought he was smarter than the game.

How is what Hinkie did taking shortcuts? :mjlol:

My Pops Forever RIP
The only true mistake Hinkie made was by being noncommittal about the guys he was taking. Everyone was an asset to him and always felt he could upgrade. Sometimes it eases everyone's mind to know you're wanted and are relied upon. It seemed like getting #1 was worth more than having guys to build with even though teams don't win championships with guys they draft #1 overall.

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
Dudes stay trying to pump up the Sixers but they got only one legit starter on their roster. Just one. That's Nerlens Noel. Okafor should be a 6th man. Ish is a backup PG like Shelvin Mack. Covington is a 7th to 8th man on a decent team. Landry is a backup. Brand shouldn't even be in the NBA. McConnell is developing backup PG. Grant should be a 10th man for a playoff team who is a prospect.

This team is littered with bullshyt.

Okafor isn't a 6th man :wtf: on what planet should he be coming off the bench? He's a starting center, the issue is that Nerlens is also a center.

Yall care more about those things than the players, whoever is offering the most money is going to get them, the Sixers are bad today doesn't mean they'll be bad 2-3 years from now. It's not like Philly is Iowa either :mjlol: do you think Harrison Barnes would turn down a max offer from them? Or Delly would turn down a bigger offer from them?
Everyone year teams got a lot of cap and players turn them down for a better chance of winning. This is the NBA, what one team will offer you, another team will as well. This ain't the NFL

He is a 6th man on a decent, good, very good or great team. His analytics were on pair with the all time worse for a NBA center.

No, not every team has max caproom, the Cavs will be over the cap so losing Delly is a real possibility for them especially since he's an UFA. The Warriors can't just match whatever for Barnes either, they have a couple of guys they need to resign. There will be some players that teams cant afford to match.

:stopitslime:

You don't need to sign the absolute best free agents to make progress, see the Raptors getting Joseph, Carrol and Biyombo who have all made an impact for them. You look for under valued young guys, and that's what they will most likely do.

The Lakers also have a 45% chance of losing their pick this year :mjlol:

You seem to be under the false impression that I'm a Lakers fan. I was a Kobe fan. Now I'm a Wiggins/Lavine fan. I would love for the Lakers to get Simmons cause I like seeing the Lakers be good. But I could care less if they keep or lose the pick.

My problem with Philly's strategy was it degraded the sport. I have no problem with teams being terrible like the Lakers. I do have a problem with trying to engineer a loser to somehow game the lottery.

That's what rubs most people the wrong way about Hinkie. He tried to act like he was the first person to think of that strategy. Kids have been doing it for years in video games. It doesn't take a genius to figure out how to make a team bad to get a high draft pick. Most grown folks just had more sense and dignity than to think real life could be played like a video game.

He is not a 6th man on a good - great team, he's a rookie big that showed he could score at a very high level, he needs work on defense but to say he's a 6th man is a joke. He is basically Demarcus Cousins & Al Jefferson, neither guy in their prime were/are 6th men.

This upcoming year only two teams will be with limited caproom. Just about everyone else will have 20 to 30 million in cap space. The expected cap is 92 million dollars.

He's dog shyt on offense and defense. He's a very good scorer. He's a very talented player but he's basically Jamal Crawford at center in a impact way. His team offense is bad. His passing is bad. His team defense is horrible. So many negatives on him. It's easy to focus on his strengths but just about 75% of his game is nonsense.
