Never thought about Namond being the next Clay Davis either, but that could happen too.

Namond got out of the streets and applied his mind to academics after being adopted by the Colvins, but there was no evidence of a transformation of morality or character. It’s not hard to see him use Colvin’s connections to get in the crooked Baltimore political game and be a sleazy Senator that’s always on the take.

In fact, I think they may have implied this when they showed them both say the identical phrase: “I’ll take any nikka money if he giving it away!”

:ohhh:

Yeah he was a whole different kid in season 5.

I think he shook the snitch label

Yup he definitely shook it. Now that I think about it, Randy wasn't just hardened from the group home, but he basically survived an attempt on his life, that ended up in his foster mom getting killed. That alone changed him, you can see in the hospital after it happened Randy immediately wasn't the same innocent kid anymore. He just lost the only person that loved him, then a few short days after that he watched that cracca cop basically tell Carver "i dont give a fucc about this little nikka or what just happened to him, put his ass bacc in the group home, you got other shyt to do". While alot of people may not of thought much of that scene, I'm sure that killed alot, if not the rest of any empathy Randy might of had for other people. The group home experience that followed(fighting, getting his money stole, having to toughen up) was just the icing on the cake to transform him into what he needed to be take over the streets. He already lost the empathy, he just needed to gain the confidence and harden up.

Randy seemed to out grow and beat the snitch jacket. When he first goes bacc to the group home the kids rob n beat him but by season 5 he basically became one of them. He didn't seem scared to be in there anymore and I'm sure they stopped fuccn with him.
you know what, i forgot about that.

Kenard became Chris to me:yeshrug:
I just rewatched the scene where he popped Omar and I can see that. The way he basically stalked Omar and was in his shadow, right before he killed him. Reminds me of when they kill Bodie and you see Chris non nonchalantly walk out of the shadows across the street.

The more I think about it Randy definitely could've been the next Marlo as well. When we are introduced to Marlo, no one knows where he came from or why he is so evil. Randy basically showed us how someone can lose any empathy or respect for other people. The scene with bunk visits him shows part of this, when Randy pushes the little boy down the steps who didn't do nothing to him. Part of it hatred in his heart, another part to assert dominance over everyone, no matter how insignificant they are.(Think Marlo and the security guard). Marlo also had no family, just like Randy.

If he was a goon like Chris or Weebay he would have to answer to someone. Don’t know if I see him doing that. He was a demon like Marlo. I could see him rising up through brute force with other psychopaths at his side just because he “wanted the crown” like Marlo.
