MVP's TNA run showed me had world champion potential. Honestly should've got it instead of Roode & Angle

MVPs delivery on the mic was a little awkward but he was serviceable and decent in ring. Definitely better than Shelton overall, although I didn't particularly like either one of them.

MVP easily. Charisma, mic skills and a solid worker. He was world champ material.

Since were in this racist ass topic.... what did Vince only have room to push ONE midcard black man? Why make an excuse to push one OR the other? There also were plenty of people in the same position as Shelton and MVP. This type of thinking is why they are so creatively stumped at the moment.

I don't think it is exactly a Vince thing. Well before he ever took over, WWWF always booked one ethnic super hero and left it at that. Bruno was the Italian, Pedro was the Puerto Rican, Backlund was the all American boy (aka white as fukk), Hogan was initially supposed to be for the Irish. New York didn't traditionally have many black stars, since most didn't live up there and were instead wrestling down South. Those booking philosophies just kind of stuck over the years. One big black star. One big Asian star (kind of changing now, but still 3 total and 1 is on the shelf). One Irish. One Eastern European. One or two Hispanic. Etc etc. That's just how it's been done in that company since before it was even that company. From Toots Mondt to Vince Sr. to Vince Jr.

I was always a Shelton Benjamin fan going back to his world's greatest tag team days.

I didn't care for mvp until his negrolution stint in tna. His wwe stint is:ld:

Shelton in the wwe >>>mvp in the wwe

In hindsight tho if I knew what I knew now about mvp`s mic skills I would've choosen him over Shelton.:yeshrug:

Honestly tho they probably could have had mvp be the manager for Shelton Benjamin. Much better idea than having his momma manage him.:ehh:

They're corny but you got the "Boy Toy" and "Big Daddy Cool" characters:laugh: Corny yet you got Angle "Drinking milk" and pushed like he's the greatest thing on earth. Corny but they can make a million reasons to give Blandy chance after chance. Ali just died after fighting the HARDEST for a people and you got these C00n nyggas in here giving Vince pass after pass. What a day:laugh:

Shelton had a few matches with Kurt Angle, when Angle was at his best, and made him look as secondary as he did Shawn Michaels in the Gold Rush match. MVP isn't anywhere near that good so he's not in the discussion and he had no gems on the mic until he ETHERED Matt in that 2007 feud.
