man, out of kay gee's camp, jaheim and maybe even zhane have better shots at stealing an unsung episode than Next does.

the late '90s was great but clearly a couple steps down from the early - mid '90s. of course they had runs. somebody had to do it. the bar was lowered a bit tho.

dru hill & jagged edge stack up, but even then, i cant say they would survive pre-96 since they got their styles from groups of that era. hell, next was around back then and didnt even drop. 112 is borderline but theyre morseo in "life after" territory. next is definitely "life after" status.

cece peniston had more than one hit. cmon.

angela bofil & sylvester had stories and impact.......yo what the hell was i watching with that sylvester chit?:wtf: bul was hot gahbage.

:laff:

CeCe had more abortions than hits when you watch that episode. Unsung didn't exactly set a super high bar considering you can name so many artists that could warrant their own episode (for TVOne's sake I hope that was the idea cuz they can do this show for a long ass time if they so choose)

i forgot to throw soul II soul on the list.

surprised they havnt been touched yet.
cuz they had one real hit. A HUGE hit, but that's it.

Might as well give Maxi Priest and Shabba Ranks episodes while we're at it (not a bad idea, they can give that whole early 90s reggae /dancehall wave their own episode like how they did with disco)

the list is endless because black artists are typically unsung period. even when they reach the highest of peaks, their legacies dwindle quicker unless theres some industry/media campaigning.

black people are partially to blame.

but its very few questionable picks for this show.
