Too late. Better off learning the difference between Shiva, Brahman, and Vishnu.
Starting off on the wrong foot. Cybersecurity is a subfield of IT.
But how long will it be before you get replaced? It's not too late to get into IT. It just depends on how ambitious you are and how serious you are about self development. Because you'll need a lot of it if you want to advance.
This is what got me into IT. It's a start but there's much to learn. You can probably find the course for free somewhere tbh. I wouldn't pay for it.What sort of courses would you recommend?
I agree. That's why I mentioned it depends on how ambitious he is. I graduated in 2020 and the salaries that I was seeing then vs now, and with even how more saturated entry level IT is, it's gonna be tough. But it's worth it someone really wants to make it in IT. There's still money and opportunity for those who can survive the help desk. But how long will it be before you get replaced?
And how much money will you get paid? With everyone globally pursuing the same jobs?
Anyone just starting out is gonna have hell of a time. It's probably 10x harder now than when I started in this field.
If you can, work on the degree and the certs. Even with my degree in Computer Science, it took me like 6-8 months to get a basic help desk job. That underpaid me. These companies are looking for experience.I am working on my BA on Compiter Science right now
2025 I am going to work on my certs.
2026 I will reach my goal amd graduate.
Focus a bit more on building scripts in KACE...
Would you recommend GovTech for those with security clearances? But how long will it be before you get replaced?

Security+ in the minimum for any cleared job. They even made non-technical people working for the DOD get certified.Would you recommend GovTech for those with security clearances?
I am a 25B in the army with no experience, but if I get my sec+ do you think I can get in with the government?
I’ll get my sec+ regardless but I wonder if there’s a market for me with a secret clearance but no experience.
