Pippen is elite. He won his rings as a 2nd option and you're holding Kobe's 5 over Lebron like he wasn't the 2nd option in the 3-peat.

Lebron and Kobe have the same amount of rings as top dog on their teams

Except Kobe was the top dog on teams that consisted of Andrew Bynum, Pau Gasol, Lamar Odom and Ron Artest.

Lebron was the top dog on teams that consisted of Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh and Ray Allen.

Nobody on the 2008-2010 Lakers had Finals MVPs besides Kobe because they weren't good enough to be leaders. Can't say the same about the 2010-2014 Miami Heat.

So if you wanna play that game....Kobe has 2 rings and Lebron has 0.

You mean the the FMVP that Lebron won when Wade was getting his knee drained after games because he was injured? Or Bosh who missed half the playoffs with an abdominal tear and skipped out on a free gold medal because he was so badly injured? No Allen for that ring.

LMAO

Again, were talking about elite players. Not Joel Anthony or chalmers.:snoop:

When you think about top 10 players as of right now Jordan, Duncan and Kobe are def before lebron so yea rings has ALOT to do with this.

Okay, let's destroy this argument once and for all.

If all that matters is RINGZ!, then the best player on the team should decide whether or not you get a ring. Unless the best player can single-handedly pull in the ring for the team, then "RINGZ!" is a false argument, because the rest of the team matters.

But if one guy can pull in a ring and the other players and coach don't matter...then why should the 2nd-best player on the team get any credit at all?

Either one guy gets all the credit, or it's a team game and you can't just say "RINGZ!" to decide the argument. There's no logical way to say, "All that matters is how many rings you have as the best player. Except that Kobe also gets to count his rings as the 2nd-best player. But Scottie Pippen and Sam Jones and Kevin McHale and Tony Parker and all those other guys don't."

Yet people want to say that the heat didn't earn their ring. Wade was hurt bad enough the year after that he became a liability and bosh was out there averaging 3 rebounds a night in the conference finals. Only 5 players scored in game 7 of the finals and one of those 5 scored 3 points, but yeah those rings are fraudulent. Imagine if Shaq or Pau were hurt enough that they were a liability or out of the lineup entirely how quick the lakers season would end.

Yes, the Heat beat arguably the weakest finals team since the 2007 Cavs. A team full of barely legal guys far from their prime who played average defense. Congrats.

People who don't like James or stan Kobe won't listen to logic. The moment you turn that argument against them they start copping pleas and trying to change the argument as they go along. I've heard them try to argue Kobe was a better scorer than Jordan since he scored 81 in a game once while ignoring that Jordan scored 5 more points a game while shooting 5% better from the field on the career. They think that playing next to Shaq was detrimental to Bryant.

You are wrong with facts more than practically everyone on this board.

First off, Ray Allen wasn't even there for that first ring. And the second ring came after the Celtics had already demoted Ray to the bench behind freaking Avery Bradley.

Chris Bosh was injured for half the playoffs in Lebron's first title run and scored exactly ZERO points in Game 7 of the NBA Finals in his 2nd run.

And Dwayne Wade was playing hurt most of the time, getting his knee drained in the first one, scoring like 5 points in major games, even missed a playoff game in the 2nd one.

Kobe, meanwhile, had Gasol, Bynum, MWP, Fisher, Odom, AND Phil Jackson at the helm.

Lebron won back-to-back Finals with guys like Joel Anthony, Ronny Turiaf, Dexter Pittman, and an ancient Shane Battier starting playoff games, Mario Chalmers as the starting PG the whole way through, and the legendary Eric Spolstra as his coach.

There's always something left. And it's not a Kobe stan thing either. No matter what a player does, the goalposts are going to get moved. Tim Duncan and the Spurs won a title last year and it's "Well, they never do it twice in a row". LeBron wins this year and it's still "He had to run to another team and he lost 3 Finals before". Kobe wins it next year (:heh:) and it's "Jordan went 6-for-6 in the Finals." Nobody wants to just appreciate the greatness we get to witness every night... I tell people all of the time, don't let Kobe and LeBron and all of these guys get through their whole careers and you don't appreciate the greatness you're seeing because you chose to hate.

this is true:ehh:

LeBron must be cursed, because no matter who he plays with, they're always labeled bums. Why'd he leave Miami to play with just as bummy players?

The Thunder went through the Lakers, Mavericks, and a Spurs team that NO one thought was losing because they had won like 16 straight but now the Thunder were some weak team?

You do realize that Varejao, Love and Irving got hurt, right? This would have been a nice (though inexperienced) squad if they were healthy. As it stands, we're talking about, uh, maybe Shumpert being the 2nd-best healthy player on the team?

It's not like Miami's 34-48 record looks any better, does it?
