breh Sonequa Martin-Green is killing it on Star Trek Discovery and is a perfect example of how to cast for these roles. You can tell no one just gave her the shyt. She looks believable and holds her own on the show. I wish more people spoke about the work she’s putting in.

Her role isn’t some of the same ol shyt and shes doing it in the future instead of these current shows reflecting current where Black people never seem to evolve.

even tho i hated how they downgraded tyresse as a character and basically gave her all his leadership strengths in the comic to her and made her outta the blue all because they were too p*ssy to do the storylines from the comics connected to him and the prison arch....but, she came into her own before she was killed off on the walking dead and I ended up loving her character. especially after bob died. and she is great in discovery
