I'm reading this list that Complex made.. its the best rapper every year since 79 and I was agreeing with it for the most part.. I disagreed with 1999, they said Jay-Z owned it. Then I'm stuck at 2005, Jeezy was crazy in 2005 but didn't 50 Cent have that year? 50 dropped The Massacre, moved 1.14 million copies the first week and got nominated for a grammy (Which he should've won). This is why I see him as owner of 2005..
Single: Disco Inferno - #3 on Billboard Hot 100
Single: Candy Shop #1 on Billboard Hot 100, #1 in 5 different countries, US Platinum, Germany Gold, Australia Platinum, On the Decade end chart 00-09 it ended up at #52 ,
Single: Just a Lil Bit - #3 on the Billboard Hot 100, US Platinum, Australia Gold
Single: Outta Control remix - #6 Billboard Hot 100
"The Massacre" went 5x Platinum in the US, and it was certified Gold or higher in 13 other countries.
Tony Yayo's "Thoughts Of a Predicate Felon" went gold, released in August 2005.
Single: So Seductive ft 50 Cent - #4 8 WHILE Tony was under house arrest.
The Game - The Documentary, 2x Platinum.
Single: Hate It Or Love It ft 50 Cent - #2 US Billboard Hot 100, US Gold
Single: How We Do ft 50 Cent - #4 US Billboard Hot 100, US Gold.
Video game: 50 Cent: Bulletproof - Sold over 1 million copies in the U.S. and U.K.
Movie: Get Rich or Die Tryin; made more than 46 million in the box office.
Soundtrack: The Get Rich or Die Tryin soundtrack, peaked at #1 on the Hot 100, it sold a million copies in the U.S. in a month. Its now certified 3x platinum
I mean who the fukk is doing lists over at Complex. 50 SOOOO owned 2005 idc, look at everything I listed. Jeezy wasn't touching that in 05':shaq::bustback:

Thug Motivation 101 owned the streets in 2005. Every car was blastin it, the radio played damn near 10-11 songs off the album right when it came out same with the clubs, it was just a legendary movement. It didn't sell 10x platinum because hood nikkas don't buy albums but disregardin the numbers to me 101 was the more groundbreaking and influential album.

Anybody that remembers being 15-21 when that album drops knows what I'm talkin about, the snowman T's, everybody gettin money, reciting every word of the cd line for line with your nikkas etc...pretty much The Chronic for the trap generation.

I don't remember nobody on the block bumpin Candy Shop or If I Was Your Bestfriend that's for damn sure

I'd never hate on Jeezy.. I heard that shyt everywhere but I was hearing 50 more. He had a movie, a video game, his album and 2 of his artists. GRODT was still selling too, the hype was too crazy with 50 man.. but yeah 101 was dope, very dope.

Exactly, 50 was already on some superstar shyt. So for the nikkas, we were slapping that Jeezy. My nikka played that in his whip... back when I was arguing Jody Breeze was gonna blowup over him .. changed my whole vision about life :wow:
