Wall has more potential, but I just don't ever see him reaching it. He just doesn't seem like the guy who's gonna work on his game and eventually get a respectable jumper. But IF he ever did, he could be the best PG in the league.

I just wouldn't want him being the leader of my team, doesn't carry himself like a professional

People in here saying that "if Wall ever gets a consistent jumper" that's what would put him over Kyrie.

I'm saying that wont ever happen.

Kyrie has barely played over 82 games in the NBA and is an All Star. He is the better player. And will be the better player going forward.
do you understand basketball?

NO one is saying Wall is a better scorer than Kyrie or will ever be a better scorer. The question is who has the higher ceiling. What are you doing?

Did people not say that if Wall gets a consistent jumper that his ceiling would be higher than Kyrie?

Is that not a form of scoring?

wall getting a better jumper would help with his all around offensive game. Help him set up for other as it would give him more space to do his thing. It has nothing to do with being a better scorer than Kyrie. So I ask again, do you understand basketball? :mindblown:

I understand that Kyrie is already a better player than John Wall and he will continue to be in the future.

Wall has already peaked.

Im not even worried about Wall's jumper, that's why you put nikkas around him who can shoot. Let him create, set up people and attack and do what he do. The jumper will come eventually, he shouldnt even worry about the 3's just get his mid range game up to par and he'll be fine.

Tony Parker is a perfect example. He couldnt shoot worth a damn when he got to San Antonio but he worked on it and now is deadly from 15-20 feet.

About a year ago i would have said Wall without a doubt. But with the way Kyrie has already progressed this fast i really have to think about this. I mean Wall with a jumper would be lethal and he's more of a true point guard than Kyrie is. But Kyrie's offensive game is already about complete as you can get and his playmaking while not on the levels of John's will get better as he gets better talent around him. Because Wall has that speed and is a little bigger with the potential to be a dominant defender i'll give him the edge over Kyrie. But both of them are franchise point guards and will do some things if given a good enough team to work with.

2 dimes opens up a whole world of possibilities.

and it'll be a great day when y'all realize that "ceiling" means more than athleticism. and athleticism means more than straight line speed and vert.

but, i'll pick this up when wall not paying his own expenses to AS weekend.

It still is Wall.

Wall's athleticism >>>>>> Irving

Wall's on ball defense and help defense >>>>>>>>>>>>> Irving

Wall's playmaking >> Irving

Irving really only has the advantage of being a better shooter and scoring, he finishes better at the rim than John and obviously has the better jumper. Kyrie is still a phenominal player and will be for a longtime.

But Wall has the higher ceiling and if there is something Wall has improved on it is his pacing and defense.

And this was the first year Wall was really injured. He missed a few games his rookie season but he played through nagging injuries then. He was healthy in the lockout season and played all 66 games last year.

they really need to work on his jumper, but at least he has confidence to take it now.

I just love how Wall runs the offense now, its a really good half court team now vs the shyt show it was before he came back. The ball movement is probably the nicest its been since before Gil got hurt.

If he can get a jumper, dude instantly is a top 5 point guard, at least.

I am really happy that he improved because last season I was really not sure about dude.

Same here. I was concerned too. But he clearly has been watching film and being on the bench also gave him the time to observe the game from the coach's angle.

As far as his jumper, he needs to keep working on the mid range. But whoever told him to stop shooting 3 pointers needs to be shot. He shot nearly 30% from there his rookie year, I think me made 40+ 3 pointers too.

I'd love to see Wall get good at the 3 point shot, it'll just open everything up and he'd become really efficient as he'll have a way to get to the lane at will similar to Tony Parker (who was just as bad of a shooter as Wall).
