Im trying to see if i would qualify for SSDI. I know some have gotten it some have not. My age, being to young might hinder it
Most VA’s are backlogged especially nowI’m on step three now. Been on step three since March 10th and still haven’t been called for my C&P exams.
It took my coworker 3 months to get his C&P when he filed early November. I’m going back to Okinawa on the 9th of June. Was hoping to have my exams done before I leave. Now, I may not do them until I get back in August.
I know the back pay will be phat but still. I’m hoping for 90% off top. Will work to get to 100 after.
I got a letter from the VA on Monday saying they are sorry about the delay. They are backlogged and are working all claims. I guess at least they are up front. Most VA’s are backlogged especially now
I got appointments like 7 months out. C & P’s should be quicker.. especially if you get seen by doctors outside of the VA. My recent ones were like back to back but like I said, I went through DAV.
Still took forever to get results though
In theory if you’re 100% disabled by the VA then you qualify for SSDI.As breh above mentioned, wassup with SSDI? Anyone have info on this?
I have researched ssdi for 100% vets. It’s a totally different process. If you are 100% you are not guaranteed at all to get ssdi. They will fast track your claim but the process is separate from the Va.In theory if you’re 100% disabled by the VA then you qualify for SSDI.

They will probably call me while I’m out of the country. Hopefully from C&P’s to decision doesn’t take as long.

Got a call last Thursday for my C&Ps.Yeahhh…
I started a new VA because I moved last year and C&P was quicker than anywhere else really..
But that was a different administration
This DOGE and Trump shyt has fukked up a lot of work behind the scenes. The average public doesn’t know really, because it hasn’t hit them yet.
Everything that affects them has been stalled for a little bit, but federal agencies were basically attacked first and they were hit hard (the agencies and people with the power to actually do shyt anyway).
A lot of shyt is just happening out of uncertainty.. so yeah I think they are even more backlogged.
I take a music therapy class at the VA and discuss it a lot with those guys.
Yeah well at least you were able to knock some of the exams down. If they are all separate claims, they might push forward with a decision on just those.Got a call last Thursday for my C&Ps.
I leave out the country for a few months on Monday so I was hoping to get them all in before then.
All of them were mid June.
I called them up and got all switched before I leave.
Then next day my most important appt was canceled and set for mid June again.
Called again and it was nothing they could do. So I had to cancel all the appts and ask them to call me before I return at the end of august.
I probably won’t get a decision until the end of the year. I’m glad I finally got a call though. It took about ten weeks for the Brehs filing anytime this year.

Appreciate the advice. My mental appt was telemedicine so I was good regardless. My hearing exam was 140 miles away. If I couldn’t do my physical claims, I didn’t want to drive 5 hours round trip for a hearing appt. We been busy this whole week packing and getting the house squared away so it wasn’t worth it.Yeah well at least you were able to knock some of the exams down. I would schedule it regardless to parallel when you get back. You don’t want to get back, then schedule, then wait again.

I would have kept my mental but once they found out I was going to be outside the USA they said you have to reschedule.

Congrats! Life is crazy and short. Every little bit helps. I think I will hit 90% off top. I have a few claims to get that 30% needed to hit that 100%.I got my 100% finally
Claim went fairly fast after my HLR. Had to do another c&p but a week later I was approved and had back pay 2 days later.
