I laughed at a guy with a no helmet no tactical vehicle profile
bruh, I was in an AG BN and we had a chick with a profile so restrictive, she couldn't wear BDUs. How she made it that far in her career and didn't get chaptered is still one of the biggest mysteries to me.

I just want to say, I appreciate all the advice on here. I never thought to apply until this thread. Shout out to all the Coli battle buddies. If you all ever want to come out to Oki for a few days or weeks, you got a place to stay if I’m working.
:salute:
Special shouts out to @General Mills @Wiseborn @O.T.I.S. @DeeezNuts
:myman:
I probably forgot a few but you all have been dropping gems for years. Looks like me and another poster are freshly through the process. Anybody have any questions, I got you.
Thread needs to be stickied everyone is talking about "tanigbles" and reparations a piddly little VA check ain't that but it's owed.

I just got approved for ED last month. I’m working getting my last 10% to get to 100%. Had I got 50% for migraines instead of 30% I’d be there already.
you can reapply for anything that you were denied for But if they have you 30% for migraines they could reduce the amount

so the correct play is why do you get Migraines? Is it lack of sleep? If you can articulate insomina then you could get something for that and an increase for the Migraines at the same time.

If its for BP? if you had hypertension in the miltary that's something to file for in my case they said it was because of PTSD.

Go to your VA doctor they'll tell you what they suspect then have a VA Rep write it up get a C&P exam file and get the hundo/

I was at 90% for years. Don't be me.

My Homie is at Tori Station. I am hoping to get a work trip out there next year and to kick it with him. I will definitly hit you up. I loved Oki for the few days I was there last year. If you (or anyone else for that matter) need any advice hit me up.

Also don't sleep on Chat GPT, it helped me out a ton! In fact I had it look at my denial that I initially got and it pointed out some errors. It then told me what to say during my high level review. As soon as I mentioned duty to assist, the lady working my HLR perked up and I knew I had it. Pretty much everything I said after didn't matter she had enough to get me a new C&P and get me rated correctly. Just remember don't be scared, just submit it all and make them tell you no. If they tell you no, use the process and make them tell you no again, if they still say no appeal it. Make them do their jobs correctly. Also, if you have something in the STR then make sure you go seek treatment because you have to have a CURRENT disability. VA or private DR doesn't matter although going to VA is a no brainer if you have one near you.

help getting to 100 is mainly about persistence and insistance. They expect you to give up it's basically a case of the squeeky wheel getting the oil.

Do you grind your teeth (bruxism) because of Anxiety ? It’s related, and people overlook it. Im not saying to lie, but go to a dentist and have them check. Had my jaw locking up (pause). It’s a secondary effect of Anxiety, etc.

If you’re still Active Duty, get it documented

I got my decision letter today.
:gladbron:
40%. 30% for ptsd and 10% for tinnitus.
:aicmon:
PTSD has an effect on my work and relationships. Plus the nearly weekly panic attacks. I have to fight that. I got nothing for sleep apnea. I probably need a nexus letter to tie that as a secondary to ptsd. Got nothing for ED. The denials all stated nothing documented during service which is understandable for the problems not associated with PTSD.
:francis:
I honestly thought my bottom was 90%. 70% PTSD, 10% tinnitus, 50% sleep apnea. I don’t know what’s next. I half read the decision.
:to:
What do I do? This is a question out of ignorance. I know YouTube and chat gpt will guide me. I got the decision and went to sleep. I have to research the appeal process. I have to connect my migraines and sleep apnea to PTSD. Can I do that through appeals or have to do that as an increase?

Everybody’s story is different. Hearing and seeing all the stories that were favorable, I thought my story would be the same.

The fight begins.

Anyone still active…. The easiest or one of the easiest claims to get documented are back pain. Shoulders…. Cuz you can get 40/40/40/40 for sciatica, femoral… for left and right parts on your body
back pain is a easy one because no one can quantify pain. Just complain and go to the hospital and go back to work I knew a chick who was a gunner who said she had a TBI and Neck pain from the lid of the gunners hatch who's gonna deny that? She wwas a cook she didn't have to be a gunner but she did. Shorty had 5 kids though so it could've been a plan.

Another Truck driver chick git 70% for falling off a 5 tonner I guess she slipped getting into the big rig that she drove like a million times before.

One of my instructors from the navy managed to fall on the deck because she missed a missing deck plate. On her 19th year From what I understand it's common for a deck plate to be missing or moved for some reason. I worked on a boat for a couple of years on boats that were in dock and I managed to avoid busting my ass.

But I was already medically retired from the Army.

I'm not saying lie but set your self up for success
