Aye shoutout to you guys...I saw this thread a few years ago and told my Dad who retired from the military almost 20 years ago to get his VA disability. I'm not sure why he never started or was against it but he's now at 80% and bought a house...completely changed his life. So thanks to everyone here.

I jumped the gun with the claim. I should have brought it to my PCP's attention first to have it documented and establish a history.
Key Aspects of a 0% Migraine Rating:
- Frequency: Migraines occur less than once every two months.
- Severity: Symptoms do not significantly interfere with work or daily activities (non-prostrating).
- Treatment: Minimal or no regular medication is required for the headaches.
I'll reconsider after my next appt in June.

What’s good is that you received a 0% rating instead of non service connected. That’s actually the hardest part. Now just get your meds and make your appointments. A migraine log would probably help too.

My advice is don’t feel bad about telling the va that your situation is extremely severe even if it isn’t that bad as you exclaim. You know how they always underestimate the actual problems you are having and act like it’s not as big of a deal. So acting like it’s extremely severe only makes them view it as it actually is. The government owe us reparations and his is the only way black men get it. The only real way to build wealth and get a head start so your family can survive the unfair climate of capitalism and racism this country has hung us with.
Do what you need to do. shyt I have epilepsy and had brain surgery and the mother fukkers had me at like 60% lol. I wasn’t until I said I have depression, which is nowhere as bad as the other things , even though I do have it definitely …that they gave me my 100%. It’s dumb . But having so much job instability , it has saved us in difficult times. Try to get TDUI .
