Best was maybe Outlawz and Onyx cause it was my birthday and I had all my homies with me and a lot of them are passed now so it holds a bunch of sentimental value for me.

Worst was Eminem at the Up In Smoke tour, mostly because of all the Eminem fans being annoying and irritating but on the plus side most of them cleared out after Eminem performed, which is crazy cause that's before Snoop and Dre hit the stage. But yeah, had some nosebleed ass seats cause all the tickets went so quick and then security wasn't letting anybody move up even though literally rows upon rows of ppl vacated.

Best: Tie between Prince and Sade. Those were EXPERIENCES.


Honorable mention: Common, De La Soul, and Tribe, same damn show


Worst: I think I actually fell asleep during John Legend

I went to a Sir Michael Rocks/Robb Banks warehouse show in Cali like 2013, my first time ever hearing about Robb Banks...man he put on a helluva show and made me a fan instantly.


Worse was Fab, nikka did like 3 songs and just chilled in VIP the rest of the night.

Worst: Lauryn at rock the bells (first time i saw her)...she was late (at the time I wasn't aware of her notorious lateness)...and because she was late she rushed her set (she wasn't headlining)...and to make it the worst, her live band weren't playing the OG songs...but weird variations (i think this was cause of those accussations/lawsuit/whatever)

Technically not hip hop, but Mike Epps did a tour with Snoop and his set was by far the worst performance I have ever seen of anything. Most of his set consisted of him recreating lines from Next Friday and shouting things like "Where my fat people at? Where my weedsmokers at? Where my white people at?"

The only part that was funny was when he wrapped up and then someone came out and told him Snoop needed five more minutes from him so he went through his "Where my fat people at?" routine again. People were looking around in disbelief.

I have seen sets of him on YouTube and whatnot and they are fine so he must have been hitting Snoop's weed too hard on that tour.

Snoop killed it though.

unfortunately the best show ive ever seen was kanye on the yeezus tour just insane production design

gibbs and rakim (around 2016 for rakim) were also highlights

none of the rap concerts ive been to stand out to me as especially bad. maybe GZA when he kept asking the sound people to turn the volume up the whole show was still pretty good

Astroworld 2019 best festival front to back I been to - Pop Smoke, Sheck Wes, Young Dolph & Key Glock, Houston All-stars (Slim Thug, Paul Wall, Keke, Trae, Bun B, Maxo Kream), DaBaby, Meg, Carti, Young Thug, Migos, Pharrell and then Travis Scott's set had Migos, Thug, Gunna, Kanye and Swae lee all come out and Dave Chappelle did the intro RIP Pop, Dolph and Takeoff

WTT tour was crazy

Future at SXSW 2015 the day 56 nights dropped was lit Travis and Young Thug the day after was lit too

Worst was Lupe Fiasco in 2013 got mad at the sound engineers at a festival and stormed out after like 2 songs

Wu Tang / Rage in '97 was probably the 2nd best


Geto boys at Howard Theatre in DC around 2015 before Bill died. Amazing show even though Bushwick was drunk off his ass. Still got the video him slurring through "gangsta of love".. it's hilarious.

Morehouse homecoming had Tribe called quest and Ice Cube with westside connection. It was right before the Bow Down album dropped and I could tell already it was the start of the end for Cube. Tribe rocked thoug.
