Gang violence...
i have used a few different ones over the years and have had different types of income including contract work, savings accounts, etc. and turbo tax is pretty convenient. you can probably get away with just doing standardized deductions which makes it really easy

fyi:
Why it might be a 'mistake' to file your 2020 taxes now
Yahoo is now a part of Verizon Media
(basically, do it too early and may affect getting your $1400 stimulus check as it will go by your last year's gross pay)

also, for my NY State heads:
Save time and money with free tax filing resources from the New York State Tax Department
mail

Tax Season is officially open! This year, you have the opportunity to save time, money, and put your entire refund back into your own pocket with an array of free tax filing resources.

File for free
Taxpayers with income of $72,000 or less in 2020 can complete and submit their federal and New York State income tax returns online for free. There is no need to pay for software or a tax preparer. Nearly 255,000 New York taxpayers used our Free File software last year, saving themselves an estimated $51 million in the process. To be directed to the free filing options, simply select Free File your income tax return on the Tax Department’s website.

To ensure you're not charged a fee, you must go to the Tax Department’s website to complete your return. You’ll save on tax preparation fees and added costs for software, prevent costly errors, and ensure that you directly receive any refund you’re owed in the most efficient way possible. Filing through the Tax Department website is 100% free.

Schedule your virtual tax filing assistance session—for free—today
If you need help filing your tax return, the Tax Department offers free virtual assistance sessions. If your income was $72,000 or less in 2020, you qualify to receive free virtual tax assistance from a Tax Department expert. We can help you electronically prepare and file your 2020 federal and state income tax returns for free, there is no need to pay for software or to hire a tax preparer.

During your virtual webinar session using WebEx or Zoom, a Tax Department expert will guide you through free tax preparation software, step-by-step, as you complete and file your own tax return. For more information and to register for a virtual session, visit Facilitated Self Assistance (FSA) program.

Receive your refund up to two weeks sooner
You can receive any refund owed up to two weeks sooner by e-filing your return and choosing direct deposit.

Filing electronically and choosing direct deposit is safer, faster, and more efficient than sending paper returns and checks through the mail. And you’ll receive your refund faster if it’s directly deposited into your bank account rather than mailed as a paper check.

To use direct deposit, simply check direct deposit on your tax return, then enter your bank’s nine-digit routing number and your account number. For checking accounts, this information is available on your checks; for savings accounts, contact your bank. If you use an online banking application, you should find the information you need in your mobile banking app.

Biden being a hoe, he hoping folks who made more in 2020 than 2019 will get cutoff from getting the next round of stimulus checks. That why the government can save money. So if you got the stimulus in 2019 and just wait to the next round of stimulus to go out you can just file your taxes after and get both a stimulus check and a federal refund. The government don’t want that to happen.

I don't see the issue with this. That's a good way to capture those who actually took a hit during 2020.

For the whites yes, but for us :mjlol:naw we need every penny available.
But just because you “made more” doesn’t mean you’re over the threshold and relief should be based on the 2020 situation. There aren’t a bunch of us who aren’t eligible at all from one year to the next.
