I just hit up Bossa Nova civic club atleast once every week. They always have DJs spinning house and techno (sometimes live sets from producers/DJs). No real Big names, just indie heads from L.I.E.S. play there. I like it, it's low key.

I've been meaning to check out Output and the new Verboten club here in Brooklyn. As well as Marquee in queens.

I'm actually trying to stack up my productions as of late. I'm trying to go play more gigs in the near future and get back into live performance/Djing.

TBH, from what I've observed, it's just a more mature crowd. Not too YOLOish or Broed out. No neon/candi kids or immaturity, just people who came to see their favorite producers/DJs and dance.

Drinks are expensive though IMO. The women are good looking typical NYC birds that are out and about and wanna dance and enjoy good music. It used to be lowkey with the patio in the back but the city closed that. Now they have coat check, and a 10 dollar cover after midnight on the weekends.

Since I go there frequently, the door people know me and I never have to pay...

Oh yeah, the music there isn't this new YOLOish electro house either (I used to spin that and be real into it from like 2008-2012 but it sounds so formulaic to me now). I'm talking proper/classic house and techno from the Detroit/Chicago vein.

Some DJs play trap and juke though....no dubstep thank god. I'm sick of it proper.

Why are you sick of dubstep?

I used to like it alotfrom 2007-2010. After 2010 it became real mainstream. Not that I have issues with people liking stuff I like, there just really became a point when I would listen to dubstep in 2010 and prior and it sounded less like that really dub reggae/soca inspired dubstep that was coming out of the UK from labels like hyperdub and more of the noisy, aggro, formulaic sound that I wasn't really feeling. I like melodies. I will admit I enjoy that stuff but not as much as I used to.

Then trap came and literally crushed the dubstep buildings in 2012...I've never seen anything like it. I'd rather listen to trap then dubstep cause I like rap and trap and dubstep and it was the new dubstep.

I have been to quite a few of them joints. I've seen deadmau5, kaskade, tiesto, Afro jack and other djs like them. So many bad bytches in there

And when they dj in Vegas the amount if fine ass chicks wall to wall is out of control. Y'all nikkaz can sleep if y'all want, but I'm tellin u, Edm clubs, parties, or pool parties are crackin!
