Yeah but the RB position in the NFL is always under scrutiny. A team will have to give up a 1st rounder for him.

Raheem Morris is a disaster
Can't say that....he been pretty mid to below average in his time since being a falcon. I don't think Kaptain Kirk been the same since his injuries. I kinda see why they wanted to see what Penix had but Kirk is making all the money so they may should have started him just for that reason.
I think Arthur Blank is getting old and wants to see a championship before he passes. He's not going to give Raheem a lot of rope with this squad. It's got talent on both sides of the ball.

I see what u saying cuz Penix didn't look the best during some of the Falcon games I saw like when they played 9ers that Sunday or Monday night.
Kaptain Kirk haven't been the same since his injuries. Plus like I said in my past post, they may should have started Kirk due to the money they paying him; however, looking from another angle....since Kirk was bad last year before he got benched...I see why they drafted Penix as a just in case.
They signed Cousins in March 2024 then like 6 weeks later they drafted Penix 8. That in and of itself made no sense. Penix was an old draftee so he was gonna play early - if that's the case why the hell did you sign Cousins? They should've either rolled with Cousins and used the 8th pick on another position or signed a backup level guy like Tyrod Taylor and draft Penix. What they did was the worst of both worlds.

Because they used an 8th overall pick on a running back when they could have used that for another position OR they could have traded that pick for more assets.
People think the draft is about players. And it is. But it’s also about value. And that’s the part most people struggle to grasp.

Go look at everyone drafted after Bijan Robinson.
Jalen Carter and maybe Darnell Wright are players they could have taken instead of Bijan who could have a bigger impact.
The Lions used the 12 pick on a RB as well.
You have no issue with it tho.
You can't trade unless someone wants to trade into that spot. This isn't a video game.
This same franchise used the 4th pick in the draft on a tight end. That's a much bigger issue.
