nikka is you Crazy?! Barkley on Phoenix became a problem from that 3 point line. Dray is closer to Bark than anyone I can remember. It just took Draymond longer to blossom. But he has had the opportunity to gain confidence by playing with 2 of the greatest shooters ever.
I like Draymond but he's not anywhere near Charles Barkley on offense.

I'd say his modern contemporaries would be AK-47, Josh Smith & Paul Millsap, those weird tweener PFs whose lack of height actually made them better.

Smoove is a good one I didn't think about. Big fan of his before the rails fell off in Detroit

Dray being on a whole nother level as a post defender is what makes it hard for me to give him a great comparison among those swiss army knife tweener types. That low center of gravity, strength, wingspan and hands combination is ridiculous

nah man. Barkley was on another planet from Draymond skill wise.

Charles was designated to be the man EVERY night. Draymond shines b/c he's on a team with Steph/Klay.

Everybody knew Charles was getting the ball and there wasn't much they could do about it. You cannot say anything like that about Draymond.

I will say defensively Draymond is better than Charles ever was. But part of that again, is that Chuck shouldered the load offensively as being the man on whatever team he was on
Being the man every night to carry a team is different than skillset tho..Draymonds skillset allows him to potentially carry a team like Bark did on the 6ers/Suns..Dray could easily be a number 1 option, warriors is just a deep ass team

nah man...

I'm 100% confident, as much as I like Green, to say that if he got drafted by the Magic or Kings or somebody, he would NOT be the plyer he is today.

Playing with Steph/Klay allowed him to find his niche. It gave him time to find his fit. You know he prob could've gotten more money to go elsewhere, but he signed that max deal b/c he KNOWS he's in a once in a career spot.

He's a "get the ball every several posessions" type of guy. Teams can't guard everybody, so Draymond shines. He's a perfect puzzle piece. But he doesn't have the night in/out consistency of Barkley to hit 20 footers, post up, etc

He has great energy around the basket and can afford to play in a controlled rage b/c he doesn't have to shoulder the entire load. Put him on the Magic or something as a #1 option, and he gets exposed.

Listen breh...the league put in the 5 second back to the basket rule strictly for Shaq Barkley and to a lesser extent Gary Payton...Draymond ain't getting no rules changed on his behalf

That's your opinion, it still doesn't change my view that there skillsets are comparable accounting for the eras

I already said Barkleys post up game was superior to Draymonds...Dray is young though, it's not like he can't develop one if needed

He's unique but he's still a system player.

I can see a little bit of LJ in him besides facilitating...that's what really makes him hard to compare, then again look at who he's passing to.
