No they don't. Republicans are all about convincing the masses that policies they enact to help and benefit the rich elite will benefit all even if they know that's a lie. They're about rolling back regulations and letting companies run wild knowing they won't police themselves and cutting taxes / reducing government size so they can fatten their wallets at the expense of the common man's benefit. They only favor smaller government when it's something they benefit from but when it's something they don't like or want to get rid of the government can be big as hell and all up in your life. But Republicans aren't corrupt, they somewhat truly believe that their ideologies and structures will better the country.
I mean these are the same people who came up with trickle down economics. If we cut taxes on the people who need more money the least instead of hording all that money they'll let it trickle down to the middle class and poor.
Wouldn't the reality be if you cut taxes on the poor and middle class they'd be more inclined to spend the extra money they get and that money would funnel up? Which sounds like it makes more sense? Which ideology do Republicans push? When Republicans talk about cutting taxes rich people usually get hundreds of thousands back and poor / middle class folks get back $50-$100 or some shyt.
