I enjoy purchasing vinyls and cds it's so much better than streaming imo

I still contend that cds have a better sound.

And yes I'm aware that mp3s can sound as good as cds but the sample rate of what we buy on iTunes and amazon is usually lower than that of your typical cd

I copped all these yesterday :blessed:

I really like CDs because of the packaging they come with. It Was Written comes with a rhymebook, Doggystyle came with an amusing comic strip, All Eyez on Me has really cool photos and graphics of 2Pac, and so on.

Also I notice the quality and loudness of the music is better than the 320kbps MP3s I download.

All those cds are dope.:blessed:

And I'm gonna buy this new tribe album cuz it's fire

I've never heard music outside a streaming site -- the future belongs to the digital progressives, fukk analog. Word to Steve Albini.

I half way agree with you on that.

It is now a digital world but the analog sound is starting to make a comback due to places like YouTube,ITunes & Spotify now have a rule that if you master your music to loud (DR DRE 2001 COPYCATS) they will automatically compress it to to their format volume like radio does. That's not good for the "JUST MAKE IT LOUD AS POSSIBLE" record labels. All the loud mastered albums that came out in the last ten years sounds weird on these media streaming sites. So now mastering has to be done to kind of match the loudness of analog again. The loud Brick wall cd master sound is over as far as the major media streaming sites. Go listen to the top songs on YouTube and you will hear they ALL have the exact same low level loudness now.

Never knew that about streaming but, I took that phrase from Steve Albini, he produced a ton of bands - Nirvana, Pixies, Fugazi, Cheap Trick, etc. He's very, very pro-analog, he said the reverse, "The future belongs to the analog loyalists, fukk digital". Even went so far to call some contractually obligated CD releases of his work "the poor man's 8-track tape".

I make noise music and produced a few small Noise bands, so I have a very weird love-hate relationship with the current Loudness War style of sound editing as it is ha ha. More often than not, I get requests to master tracks to make them sound like they're even cheaper than they already are, the more reverb and clipping, the better.
