I think you start around Fab and work your way down from there.
Fab in his own right is gonna go down in history. So it’s not a slight.
I think just talent wise, I have Fab clear.
But the reason why I say start at Fab is…just discog for discog….if you don’t simply go by top tracks, MAYBE it’s starts to seem somewhat close, idk?
Fab has the more iconic / cultural hits with Breathe & all the R&B feats. As well as the resonating mixtape series. In several aspects Fab just represents a certain era more
….the more I type this post, the more I see my error in starting at Fab
Imma try tho….J Cole’s FNL & Warm Up were splashes and were very significant for his specific era too tho. While I don’t think he can go cultural song for song with Fab….i think the fans of that era would put FNL up against anything Fab related (not saying they right).
Man tbh idk. The best thing Cole has going in these arguments is not really music / discog related. Cole’s best claim to these arguments is the fanbase & popularity he was able to capture just by making relatable, accessible, easy going music with a good flow.
I can’t stand J Cole’s boring music and this reads like insanity
