Let's see. 81 points

9 straight 40 point games when Shaq was out

4 50 point games straight

6 60 point games

3 40 point months

3rd in all time ppg and 4th in playoffs

Vs Somebody who isn't even in the top 10 in scoring neither in playoffs or all time yet

This wasn't hard

Let's see higher career ppg average
Higher playoffs career ppg average
4 scoring titles in 10 years vs 2 in 20
And shoots a higher percentage from the field, deep and the free throw line and when it's all said and done will finish top 10 in both the playoffs and regular season scoring( barring injury)

KD IS A MUCH BETTER FINISHER.
BETTER 3P SHOOTER
BETTER FT SHOOTER
AND THEYRE ABOUT EVEN IN THE MID RANGE.

KD HAS MORE SCORING TITLES.

KOBE HAS THE BETTER POST GAME.

KD is not a better finisher. KD has more scoring titles because Kobe was not the 1st option on his team until he was 26 and he got hurt that year. Kobe had 2 healthy years without Shaq and before Pau and Bynum and he won both times. Moreover, Durant won multiple scoring titles averaging under 30. Kobe never had that luxury. Every think else you said is correct. Kobe had a better handle and was better at attacking the basket too. @2Quik4UHoes These dudes sit here and act like Kobe didn't average 28 once he became a starter. So much revisionist history.

BREAUGH WE CAN ALL LOOK UP THE NUMBERS....
KD IS A MUCH BETTER FINISHER.

DURANT WON 3 SCORING TITLES PLAYING WITH RUSS AND HARDEN...

SO YOU CAN MISS ME WITH THAT
PAU & BYNUM.

KOBE TOOK MORE SHOTS THAN SHAQ
FROM 2001-2004.
AVERAGED 24 SHOTS IN 03...

DURANT WON HIS SCORING TITLES
AVERAGING 20, 20, 20 & 21 SHOTS PER GAME.
KOBE ROUTINELY TOOK MORE SHOTS THAN THAT
EVEN WITH SHAQ, PAU & BYNUM.

If KD god forbid gets injured. His career PPG will drop much like Kobe's did and Kobe had more 25+ seasons that KD since 2001.
Kobe is 4th in playoff points and was only recent surpassed by Lebron who's on pace to surpass Jordan. I'll give you the FGs, but KD never took half the shots Kobe shot. He was never in position to. Truth be told though Kobe did take a lot unnecessary shots but he had more scoring drives than KD had ever put up. The lakers with Shaq had Kobe putting up 9 40 point games straight and he did it on 45% while Shaq was out. KD is on the warriors so he probably doesn't need to but still.

You can't compare what Kobe has done since 2001 and one to KD that gives Kobe much more time instead objectively compare the first 10 seasons scoring

KD averages 27.2 ppg, has four scoring titles, and averaged 25 points or more 9 times through his first 10 years while being one of the most effective players the game has ever seen and his playoff scoring is even higher

Kobe through his first 10 years averaged 23 ppg and had 1 scoring title, and averaged 25 or more 5 times, and his playoff scoring dropped

Stop goalpost moving. You say you can't Kobe's whole career and only first 10 years

But just the post before you said
Let's see higher career ppg average

So which one is it? The first 10 years or the "2 in 20(years) like you originally said? Don't switch it to "the first 10 years" you wanted to add Kobe's full 20 year career and if we do that kobe has been averaging actually 26+ since 01. By the time KD even came in the league kobe already had scoring stretches seen by no one since the days of Prime Jordan and Wilt. Kobe highest PPG in the playoffs is 32 on 46%. KD? 30.8 on 44%

Kevin Durant's "mentality" towards scoring the basketball > Kobe's.

I'll take 30 on 53% shooting over 30 on 45% shooting but to each their own :manny:
Me to but KD should average 30 in his sleep. Him going all out one season taking 25 shots a night wouldn't necessarily drop his percentage that much. Just would like to see if he could threaten 40 a night one season.
