Good posts. All around. Good job guys.

I would just cool it for the rest of the week, take it off. Let us lesser posters get some time, you've all outdone yourselves.

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
Andre Drummond rowing... Kobe fencing... Boogie Cousins freestyle skiing... :noah:

Forget Kobe fencing, JaVale McGee with that 7"6 wingspan would be a legend. Absolutely no skill, just stick his arm out and get that W :ahh: And the hilarity when he stabs his coach by accident while trying to text using the sword itself.

Both are the best in their respective sport. Messi is more decorated at the moment though.

If you watch soccer enough, no way in your right mind would you think CR7 >> Messi. Unless you're just not being objective.

Messi being only 24 is :mindblown:

And the fact that he don't dive and ain't a bytch:salute:

LeBron flops more in one game than Messi does the entire year:deadmanny:

When Ronaldo scored more goals, Messi got the award because he won more trophies. When Ronaldo won more trophies, Messi still won. The ballon d'or is a joke with alot of people who don't know football besides what the pundits on fox sports think got to vote. Messi is a fraud. You scored the same #of goals at the last world cup as Messi.

Ronaldo didn't score more goals that year though. He scored more goals in La Liga but overall they both scored 53 goals that year. Not to mention beat him in assists too.

Messi has been better for four straight years now, and I mean clearly better. No unbiased person would claim that Ronaldo is better, he simply isn't. That would be like arguing for Durant over LeBron, he's NOT better.

Beyond the seawater horizon, one finds loneliness of a simple kind. Not unwelcomed, the soul sheds it's robes and embraces the calm. While I was lost at sea I was not lost in spirit, and found strength in silence and wisdom in the wind. Twas not until I finally saw land that I realized I would once again be stranded in the sea of expectation, swallowed by the waves of disconent that only money can buy.

Lebron, Messi plays on a team that enables him to dominate. Lebron would dominate anywhere. You can't put Messi on the Philadelphia Union and expect 3 goals a game.

the GOAT in soccer is pele. you take pele back in his prime and have him play today, he would still dominate, imo.

ronaldo sort of has a bad reputation. he's not seen as humble or being a hard worker and messi is. it's comparable to what randy moss went through, imo. there is a ton of politics involved as to who wins the awards, etc.

lebron is the better player, respective to their own team and sport, imo. lebron basically does it all and messi doesn't. lebron took the cavs to the finals, brehs and look at what happened once he left.

barcelona still won the euro without messi. the engine of that team is xavi, iniesta and their system.

a lot of the praise messi receives is well deserved and earned, obviously. in addition, from all accounts, he's super genuine, honorable and one of the all time greats, already. but, the media does also promote this to a degree much greater than they do with anyone else in football. as good as he is, he's even greater from the eyes of the media, which is driven by the business world. it makes money and is good for soccer to have messi be the face of football.

without a doubt he's great, but not as great for people to already call him "thee" GOAT.

just my opinion, of course.

Messi is overrated. Not saying he's not the best right now, but people try to say he's the goat or at least put him in that category.

Messi isn't even better than Thierry Henry was. :yeshrug:

And to say he's only 24 is alright but 23-26 is pretty much the prime age in soccer. Especially as a forward.

Is it really fair to say in a sport that is extremely team oriented AND in a tournament where he can only have Argentinians on his team that he has to win the world cup in order to be the GOAT?

Are Aregentinians known for having great footballers?

*is only a casual soccer fan at best, but i respect the sport*

yes, they are known for having great players. one of the best all time is diego maradona.

they have very good players right now on his current national team (that also play for the top professional clubs in the world).
