This thread got me tickled this morning. Who is the leader amongst your circle of friends? Do you even look at your circle this way? Who is more prone to look at their circle this way, men or women?

Like I said in other thread, dudes dont think like that at all but women are dam near programmed to look for that shyt. They will even come in a friend group and instigate shyt to shake shyt out.. Its more of a younger people thing tho.. Girl groups operate like that from a young age, they will ice a bytch out and everything. Thats why alot of girls will come in a guy group and then be like I like hanging out with dudes, but that shyt not the same either cuz somebody gon try to press on her, lol..

Its alot of projection but girls do look at shyt like that and in dudes mind it dont make sense

A ‘leader’ is corny af, but friend groups definitely do have ‘glue guys’ like they’re the ones cool w/ everyone in the group, and if they can’t make it out that night or go on the trip, it’ll be a less fun time. Maybe they have a plug on cool spots to go, maybe they bring the bytches, maybe they’re just funny and they keep the mood up, but it’s generally a better time when those guys are around etc.

But it’s not no ‘leader’ shyt, and a group of friends can have multiple people who are ‘glue guys’. Thinking you’re the ‘leader’ is some narcissistic shyt, and designating somebody else the leader is pathetic :mjlol:

Aint no hierarchy with friends. Even in animal packs the 'alpha' is usually the father like with lions, wolves, and apes. They're literally his sons that he raised and when he's old and its time for him to fall back, he does so for the good of the squad.

I think I saw somewhere in that twitter chain that women who look for the 'leader' in the pack of friends is basically just selecting for men who are bullies or in some form of organized crime like a gang because that's how those relationships tend to function.

Maybe thats how female friendships function which could explain why they're infamous for being short and tumultuous. They're competing with each other and trying to dominate each other until one or more eventually gets sick of it and breaks away from the group. I've had exes tell me that they hung out with certain women because those women made them look better by comparison. A real life D.U.F.F. effect, shyt is sad.

there is definitely a de facto leader in everyone's group it's just how we're programmed.
if you're calling the shots, most influential, and if you're the glue than there's a high chance you're the leader
a group can have a head leader and like a sub leader too think of like Cap and Tony stark

The girl with the tweet that said "if your friend group has a leader you’re most likely in high school" hit the nail on the head.

Back then there really was one cat that would get the initial party invite or bring the women around. Sometimes those 2 things would be spread over 2 people in the group.

Once you turn 21 you can seek out women and social events on your own if you are well adjusted and comfortable in your own skin. Hell, you actually have access to both if you are 18 and attend college

"There is no leader"
"fukk these birds blablablablab"

Human relationships are just like animal relationships, there's always a "leader", that's simple psychology.
