Don't try and play me for a fool..I been listening to Pac since like 93..
His vocab is lacking..repeats the same combination of words over a very basic and monotone flow.

:comeon: So you been listening to this nikka since '93 and lack the music knowledge to know how Pac is versatile in rhythm?

That's most emcees you described, who stay in a general area of vocabulary, and he didn't have a "basic and monotone flow" either.
Aesop Rock has the biggest vocab of all emcees, but his flaw is not using that to his advantage for a vernacular anyone could understand in. Pac at times could flash big words when he wanted to, and still connect to the everyday person. Once again, that depended on what type of song he wrote.
His flow styles changed album to album as well, he evolved quickly - giving credence to his songwriting skills.

"California Love", "Me Against The World", "If I Die 2Nite", "Changes" and "Hail Mary", all have completely different flows and vocabulary (which btw has nothing to do with rhythm). A rapper with a "basic and monotone flow", would be someone like MC Eiht, Tyga, Too $hort, Hopsin, etc.

Pac had different flows in verses and in between songs, which doesn't make sense why you said "Basic and monotone".

That's the thing subpar rappers don't make great albums, you mentioned "great rappers". They can take the quality of their cratft and music down a few notches, so how can subpar rappers "smarten up"?

They don't "smarten up". Execution is everything. The rapping can be sub par, but a well executed concepts and great production will allow an otherwise sub par rapper to create great music.

2pac isn't a great rapper, but I wouldn't quite put him in the bad rapper category.

all this French montana love.
dude just sucks all-around. its one thing to be a bad rapper, but he just sucks at everything.
hes proof positive that this rap chit been over. that leech gets no props from me.

this should be the consensus pick.

not a good rapper, but yet, i'd rank him in the top 20.

Brah, shyt rapper or not. French is Hip Hop history, blood. Why do u think the legends fukk with him? Dude is legit when it comes to the game.

Industry just forced him to dumb his shyt down, which hurts me as a longtime fan, but i still cant dismiss his legacy. If he died tomorrow, u think people arent gonna call him a legend for what he accomplished? and laid out for other rappers to follow? As far as the hustle, world star, DVD, mixtape shyt.
