But in all honesty, the throwback era from 02-04 killed off most of those "urban brands"..then the White T craze in 05..it was a wrap.

Remember when they had those Jerseys with The Downsouth, east coast, South, North, on it.....shyt just looked lame and tacky


then after a while every rapper had their own clothing line so people gravitated towards the Rocawears, The Sean Johns, Clue and Fab had Akademiks POPPING and Mitchell and Ness with the Jerseys. LL Cool J wasn't hot and nikkas just weren't fukking with Fubu anymore....

To sum it up, most urban brands follow trends. And with trends, there's usually no longevity to it. That's why I personally never cared for brands like that.

Overexposure and lack of diversity in the brand. Commercials with LL rocking one pant leg up werent gonna keep them around. And half asssed compilation albums werent either.

Round 2000 Platinum Fubu was probably the hottest brand of clothes out. I had crazy jean suits and other Fat Albert gear.

Then all of a sudden the whole brand died...
Dudes went from the Fat Albert stuff to Muhammed Ali clothing and that was THE END...

I remember I had the all white leather Iceberg jacket with Mickey Mouse on the back. I remember back in 98 I rocked that to the Hampton vs Morgan State game at the Meadowlands. Man it was hoes galore that day

I had a pair of those in the 6th grade. Ran the school's jog-a-thon in them and won. nikkas were salty as fukk trying to say I cheated when I gave them the while getting my trophy.

I remember dudes at my high school would clown on the guys who wore those 05 jerseys till a group of us saw a kid in a 06 No Limit Sports jersey. Can't believe we were when we saw that though it was another P ripoff.

I dabbled with the Fat Albert gear for a bit before their demise though.
