It died because it was a black brand and nikkas are real fickle when it comes to fashion. nikkas find something thats hot, wear it out, then want to distance themselves as far from it as they can. Remember back in the day folks were on Nautica and Tommy hard, then one day its like black folks had a meeting and decided to drop them both. They didnt die because they are seen as legit clothing companies for white people too.

If you want longevity in fashion you need to do everything you can to not be seen as a black brand. You need your shyt to sell to everyone because nikkas will leave in a hurry and not look back.

FUBU is alive and well in your local Wal-Mart! I noticed some shoes there a while back. Even though its not popular anymore, having your product in Wal-Marts (there everywhere means your everywhere!

i would probably still rock a hat or maybe a simple shirt with just the classic logo on it but nothing much

Fubu fell off because all urban fashion falls off after 1 or 2 years....Cross Colors, Karl Kani, Wu Wear.....They all fall off because urban fashion has only a 1 or 2 year shelf life......Rocawear, Phat Farm and Sean John had to go casual in order to maintain life because they couldnt survive on urban designs alone. Casual on the other hand never goes out of fashion.

My aunt bought me a Fubu football Jersey for my birthday and I never wore it, eventually I gave it to goodwill.

^ I had this shyt in a different color (I can't find the color I had online, but it was like this dark, mixture of brown and gold type of color). It's corny as shyt, and I would NEVER wear something with so much as a small logo on it today, but man oh man did I used to feel crispy as fukk when I rocked this shyt to class. I actually used to get compliments on it....:smugfavre:

And don't even let me get into my feelings when I saw a nicca wearing the exact same shirt on BET's Comic View....

Honestly, I think it was going to die regardless, but I DO remember it becoming a lot less fashionable amongst my own clique once whites started fukking with it. It wasn't just that whites we're wearing it, it was the TYPE of whites wearing it. My school was cliqued up and segregated as fukk. The preppy dudes always stayed in their Aeropostale, Abercrombie and Fitch, American Eagle, etc lane. But, at least in my area, at some point, these dirtbike/x-games obsessed, skater shoe wearing, Ozzfest loving crowds started getting into this shyt. They looking at us like :umad: and the black crowd lookin' back like :why:
