Remember when everybody was rocking the New Era Japanese fitteds? Them joints disappeared from existence instantly. You can see a homeless dude here and there rocking Wu Wear or Maurice Malone here and there, but the Japanese fitteds just don't exist

Seriously step in here and speak on it...
Round 2000 Platinum Fubu was probably the hottest brand of clothes out. I had crazy jean suits and other Fat Albert gear.

Then all of a sudden the whole brand died...
Dudes went from the Fat Albert stuff to Muhammed Ali clothing and that was THE END...

Speak on it...
What do you think Killed Fubu?

:smugbiden: You were still wearing FUBU in 2000? You admitted that here and ethered yourself.

:dead:

Simple.
Over exposure on anything kills its exclusiveness - thats the main reason people stop wearing a designer brand.
Happened with Tommy Hilfiger, Ed Hardy.. and I can see True Religion going under next.

Once the exclusiveness goes, and people stop wearing, one of two things happen...
The price stays the same and even less people bother as its not exclusive but expensive.
The price goes down to the point where its not designer anymore.

With FUBU you have the situation above, plus the fact that people dont rock baggy clothes so much.

The brand as a whole is worthless unless they start from scratch.
White boys rock Tommy Hill still? That name been around for years. They started rocking that in Cali in the mid 90s

Cuz they had tacky ass clothes. It was only a matter of time before people realize you can get Polo, Lacoste, Calvin Klein and other nice eloquent brands for the same prices instead of getting corny overly animated cheap gimmicky clothing.

The only Hip-Hop clothing I ever wore was the ones you could order from out the CD booklet; like those BCC and Duck Down summer tees. :yeshrug:
