50 raps/rapped from the perspective of someone who is active, in the hunt, on the block, on the grind....trying to reach it. When you on the block, you live for the moment. Tomorrow or the next minute isn't promised.

Jay raps/rapped from the perspective of someone passed that point, on solid ground from the byproduct of his labors. He not only reached it, but passed it. Reflective at times on past experiences, but not dwelling on the past.

Depends on what one finds more appealing.
