If you’re easily manipulated by ESPN highlight reels you’ll think Duncan is in Kobe’s league
Obviously, Duncan isn't in Kobe's league. He's a league above.

.Kobe.
Better question is what if Kobe/Timmy went the modern day route and teamed up with each other when they were both in their prime![]()
Both teams would’ve drafted differently if they had the other player. Idk how Shaq or pau would’ve operated with TD and no serviceable wing player and idk how Kobe would do with TP and Manu with no big
Love Kobe, but would start my team with Prime Tim every time

Timmy was very close to trying to go that route with T Mac and Grant Hill in Orlando. David Robinson cut his vacation short to meet with him and Pop to convince him to stay in San Antonio
Lakers had an All Star wing in Eddie Jones when Shaq first got there. He also played a pretty good level for years after LA and was a good defender
Honestly that would've been a really good squad with Duncan, Shaq and Eddie Jones
Great point!! I have always wondered how Eddie Jones would of worked out rather than Glen Rice on those Lakers championship teams, EJ was the perfect 3rd fiddle during that period or 3 & D player today.....Timmy was very close to trying to go that route with T Mac and Grant Hill in Orlando. J.R. Rider, Reuben Patterson played decently against Kobe. Bonzi , Brandon Roy, and Cuttino Mobely had decent showings against young Kobe.cant really say many people figured out or stopped Kobe from doing what he wanted all the time
ill concede to thisJ.R. Rider, Reuben Patterson played decently against Kobe. Bonzi , Brandon Roy, and Cuttino Mobely had decent showings against young Kobe.
Amare scored against Duncan, but he didn't exactly lock him down.....so saying he figured him out is an overstatement.
