Yet one season he lost in the 1st round as a #1 seed while averaging 12ppg in the series......after winning 61 games in the regular season.

Most of those follow-up years they had critical injuries (Duncan out in 2000, Duncan playing hurt in 2004, Manu playing hurt and half the squad collecting SS in 2008), and they were just a little too old in 2015 and still came a CP3 game-winner away from likely taking that one too.
2006 was the best chance and would have given them a three-peat. Duncan put up 41-15-6 with 3 blocks in Game 7, but Manu comitted that foul and then those shots at the buzzer just didn't go down.
Since Duncan led his team to 4-5 titles as the top guy, seems weird to nitpick a few particular years he didn't do it while ignoring all the years Kobe failed to even get his team out of the 1st round when he was actually the #1 guy.
you said his BBIQ wasnt good at times because he shot over 3 defenders, yet that barely ever happened and you've yet to prove otherwise. So you're discounting his BBIQ off something that barely happened and are discounting the various other factors that dictate a players BBIQ. Did he take bad shots once in a while? Sure. That has nothing to do with his overall BBIQ and the effect that IQ had on his teammates and overall efficiency of the teams he ran.. So yeah, do better buddy.

You said the Lakers had an All Star in Eddie Jones when Shaq first got there. That's false. He wasn't an All Star when Shaq got there. He made the All Star team twice when Shaq got there while averaging like 15ppg which doesn't prove much. And he didn't "suck" in his first 2 seasons but he averaged only 13ppg over the course of those 2 seasons as a 23 and 24 year old player. He was an entertaining and beloved player but he wasn't the guy you're making him out to be.
And if he was serviceable he would've did better than average 11 ppg in the playoffs while we were getting our ass beat. Shaq and TD would've clogged the lane without a wing player that kept defenses honest. Eddie Jones wouldn't have been that guy.
I give him a pass for 2000 because he wasn’t playing but not the other years. The fact is he was never able to lead a team to 3 straight finals and back to back titles like Kobe did. Him Wilt and bird are really the only top 12 guys who can say that. Everyone else repeated.
Kobe was surrounded by dog shyt from 05-07. Im talking about when Duncan had a HOF backcourt for a decade and couldn’t repeat. He couldn’t even make back to back until he became a role player in 2014
