Vividly. That backfired on 50 so bad. Graduation pushed the sound forward, was innovative, borderline classic, and sold more. 50 was the one that had the sakes battle idea too and Ye seemed like he didn’t care about it. 50 dropped an album that wasn’t as good as either of his previous 2 and I feel like that was the beginning downfall of his career.

I Get Money was a dope single though and this joint that Havoc produced was fire.

50 knew his run was over at that point. It was genius marketing and covered the cracks in his career. He had like 3 flopped singles before that album came out

50 being mad as shyt that Kanye brought Jay out on 106

50 storming the stage at Madison Square Garden...Jay, Puff and Kanye had to just...let it slide

50 saying he was gone retire if he took an L then juelzing about worldwide sales

good times

i copped both

Graduation...timeless :wow:

Curtis....:stopitslime:...but i got Still Kill out of it :manny:
Also Jay Z going on radio "no ones scared of 50 Cent"

Then Jay Z jumping on I Get Money Remix :mindblown:

:ohhh:Oh yeah. Was that the album where he tried another Disco Inferno sounding joint as the single but it didn’t work?

I still think this is his best single after GRODT

He tried these with the same tired formula. 50 focused too much on sales than great music. He goes crazy over soul loops

50 would've murdered ye if he put something out like GRODT
You say that like GRODT isn’t a once in a lifetime album. That’s like saying Snoop would murder whoever if he put out another Doggystyle...no shyt.

The same day drop war. The beginning of fakkit culture replacing thug culture in hip hop. A fun time in history but hindsight 20/20 we didnt realize that this was the start of the feminization of hip hop
the end of the cartoon thug era of rap :blessed:

rappers no longer having to stay in character 24/7 :krs:
