Breh that sound that UK claimed that they birthed still came from Chicago. They literally just bit off one producer's sound (well 2 if you include dj kenn) and ran with it. That's why their beats all sound the same .

This is a myth NYC was 100% influenced by Chicago and had its own drill type thing going on through the homegrown street DVD’s in the late aughts before drill even was a thing

NYC was not influenced by Chicago. By the time NYC started making drill, Chicago drill was already on the decline. UK Drill has influenced a lot of countries outside of the US too.
