There's no correct answer other than Killa Cam fleadagawd. He got nikkaz sayin swag like he got nikkaz claiming they got "movements" King Jaffe Joe and the Dipset is one of the most influential groups in Hip Hop history for good and for bad. How can you listen to this and not realize that Cam birthed these new nikkaz styles.

Lemme school y'all young heads for a second. I think there's three things you have to consider; where the term "swag" originated and where the flamboyant image that's been associated with the term "swag" originated and finally who were the ones that tied both together to highlight a movement in hip hop.

First of all, the 1st person, unless you can find someone prior, that ever said "swag" on wax was Jay-Z off the The Black Album back in 2003. He was basically the father of the slang term. However, the flamboyant style that came with it originated long prior in the BAY AREA. They were the ones that started that through Mac Dre and began the HYPHY MOVEMENT and it was because of popularity of the HYPHY MOVEMENT that branched out. Yes, the whole Dipset movement was big mostly in the east coast, but the rest of the nation rode that hyphy train. That's were that whole IMAGE came from and how it got popularized. It linked in to that whole dance craze movement during the mid-00's. That's when Soulja Boy came in and pretty much tied the slang word with the image, and with him at the time the biggest star of that teen movement, that's how the whole "swag movement" evolved.

There's more shyt than wanting to be this King of New York shyt

term has been around for a long time. I'd always hear it in songs. But the swaggots ran with it after Lil b and them started using it. Its this genrations Bling. or the 60s Groovey.

Im waiting for all this shyt to die off though.
